But we don't get to make that choice. Thuney has a MASSIVE dead cap charge if we cut him this year. Cutting Thuney saves about $5 million on the cap this year. Now it would accelerate dead cap we would end up taking if we cut him in 2025 so it makes next year's cap sheet a little cleaner (so you could do some stuff with structure of new guys to help there) but really, the cake is largely baked with Thuney at this point. |

If Bart Vatch manages to pull the Lions pick it'll be another massive notch in his belt. We could sure put a mid 2 to good use though. |
We could sign a veteran and draft a guy in the first two rounds to play LT. Cut Thuney save that money this year and have it open more next year. Then move Morris to LG where he could be really good. With his strength and run blocking

I'm not sure why anyone keeps suggesting cutting Thuney. There's essentially no cap benefit to doing so.

Listen I don’t think we should cut Thuney either. Was just throwing an idea out there. I just think Morris could be a stud guard

I’ll never be pro-cut good offensive linemen. Especially in Mahomes’ era.
Too many QBs are getting injured nowadays. You have to reduce those odds as best you can. Jawaan was hitting his stride again late in the year, if you shore up LT you’ll finally have a true good starting five all the way across. |

The CB draft class is anything but "poor." This place...
6 could go in the 1st and 16 in the top 100. Shit class... |
