It's relevant in that doing stupid things in cars can cost you a wealthy livelihood. Hopefully this will not be the case here and no one is hurt seriously, but leaving the scene of an accident will be judged harshly and rightfully so, if that is what happened.

Based on nothing. Many NFL players are effing stupid thug life type guys. All we know from this is Rice is a dipshit 22 year who can't handle his little bit of fame and money.

LMAO @ the absurdity of searching for Rice dancing gifs when talking about how he might be charged for harming or maybe even killing someone.

If we want to sit around and wish for things I guess we can. Doubt if this was some relative that we'd have this story out in the wild for like 14 hours with no update or word from Rice's camp.

jerryaldini 03-31-2024 08:51 AM

Prayers for the hospitalized person, and for Rashee if he is implicated.

We would all wish those involved had stayed and taken responsibility. Especially since they should have been rendering aid to the injured. Leaving the scene is the part that's going to be very difficult to live with, even if the injuries turn out to be non-serious.

May justice be fair, lessons learned, remorse and mercy granted, and the injured recover.

If Rice wasn't involved he would have called the police by now. Someone would have called Rice and said they were looking for him. This is not going to end well...

No offense to Jerm

For those of you holding out hope that Rice was not the driver, or somehow not at the scene of this – you are reeruned. How often does a vehicle registered in your name get lent for somebody else to drive? Let alone a high-end high-performance vehicle? Rice is in a heap of trouble. Take the Chiefs rose coloured glasses off. The kid is doing time…

If someone was hurt, he needs to be held accountable. From a selfish standpoint, can he do his time after we 3peat?

Probably and this is the shit that could derail the 3 peat. Who can they get now to fill his shoes? A rookie can't in this offense. Took Rice all season to get what we got from him. Any vets? Not much left.

FloridaMan88 03-31-2024 09:12 AM

Doesn’t sound like any major injuries from this report…

Link: https://www.tmz.com/2024/03/31/kansa...ccident-crash/

Quote:

Dallas PD tells TMZ ... "Police were called to a multi-vehicle accident in the 6600 block of northbound North Central Expressway. The preliminary investigation determined two drivers, one in a Corvette, the other in a Lamborghini, were speeding in the far-left lane."

Cops add, "The drivers lost control and the Lamborghini traveled onto the shoulder and hit the center median wall, causing a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles." A total of 6 vehicles were involved in the crash, too.

Dallas PD goes on to say "The occupants of the Lamborghini and the Corvette all ran from the scene without stopping to determine if anyone needed medical help or providing their information. Two of the involved drivers were treated at the scene by Dallas Fire Rescue for minor injuries and two occupants of another vehicle were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The investigation and identification of the suspects are both ongoing."

Cops are on the hunt for Kansas City Chiefs Wide Receiver Rashee Rice ... and it's all over a very bad car accident.

Titty Meat 03-31-2024 09:13 AM

Hope everyone is ok.

It seems like since the pandemic there's been an overwhelming amount of people who drive like reeruns

staylor26 03-31-2024 09:15 AM

Oh wow all minor injuries?

InChiefsHeaven 03-31-2024 09:15 AM

If I'm Clark Hunt, I'm having an emergency meeting with the whole team and ranting about this shit. I mean, we've had a ton of examples of absolute stupidity from many of our players. It's a long list. I'm sure other NFL teams have this problem, but I don't give a shit about other NFL teams.

It seems intuitive that when you play for a NFL team that has had the huge amount of success that the Chiefs have had, you count your lucky stars to be a part of it and you DON'T DO ANYTHING STUPID to screw that up. I dunno, these athletes who get into this kind of trouble must have some kind of mental issue.

I have some direct experience. One morning after working a graveyard shift I fell asleep at the wheel and T-boned an elderly couple's car at a traffic light. Tired driving is a thing too, be cautious. I'll never forget the feeling of relief after I ran to their car and discovered they were both alright. They were so gracious, and later I was able to have a great phone conversation with the fellow.

It's really hard to wrap your head around leaving the scene of an accident you caused, but I also understand the potency of fear in an emergency like that, especially for a high profile person who sees their entire future at stake. Whoever was driving, I hope they are being counseled to own up to their mistake and accept and learn from the consequences.

staylor26 03-31-2024 09:16 AM

There's no chance he's cut or anything like that if they're all minor injuries.

staylor26 03-31-2024 09:16 AM

This might be a blessing in disguise and force the Chiefs hand to invest heavily at WR, without losing Rice.

BigRedChief 03-31-2024 09:18 AM

Assuming he is indeed the driver, and assuming (as it would seem) that there are no serious injuries, it’s definitely not a career ended but wouldn’t be surprised to see him miss games next season. If that ends up being the case, I’ll first and foremost be happy that no one’s lives were ruined/ended on Easter of all days (can’t imagine that). But also, looking at this optimistically, if this is an occurrence that teaches Rice a valuable life long lesson and changes the way he operates going forward, it could be a blessing in disguise for both him as a person, his career and my favourite NFL team the Kansas City Chiefs!

Parents with teenagers who drive… this happens all the time.

Vehicle is registered in the parent’s name and the kid is driving it.

Or in the case of a rich professional athlete with multiple vehicles registered in his name or being leased in his name and one of his family members/friends is driving the vehicle.

In this situation it looks increasingly unlikely that Rice wasn’t at the very least at the scene as a driver/passenger, but the scenario of someone driving a vehicle registered/leased on someone else’s behalf is common.
