Prayers for the hospitalized person, and for Rashee if he is implicated.
We would all wish those involved had stayed and taken responsibility. Especially since they should have been rendering aid to the injured. Leaving the scene is the part that's going to be very difficult to live with, even if the injuries turn out to be non-serious. May justice be fair, lessons learned, remorse and mercy granted, and the injured recover. |
Not good at all

It's on ESPN now and Rice is trending on X. Still not more specific information.

Hey everybody follow me on my new Twatter account. I'm @RealSNRLaw

How hard can it be for Texas to find him? Anyone know the whereabouts of Xavier Babudar?
|
Let’s not jump to conclusions, maybe it was his interpreter.
|
Saw a paywalled story in a Twitter group I’m in from a Dallas paper, there was a lot but this is the most important part….

For those of you holding out hope that Rice was not the driver, or somehow not at the scene of this – you are reeruned. How often does a vehicle registered in your name get lent for somebody else to drive? Let alone a high-end high-performance vehicle? Rice is in a heap of trouble. Take the Chiefs rose coloured glasses off. The kid is doing time… |

Doesn’t sound like any major injuries from this report…

Hope everyone is ok.
It seems like since the pandemic there's been an overwhelming amount of people who drive like reeruns |
Oh wow all minor injuries?
He good. |
If I'm Clark Hunt, I'm having an emergency meeting with the whole team and ranting about this shit. I mean, we've had a ton of examples of absolute stupidity from many of our players. It's a long list. I'm sure other NFL teams have this problem, but I don't give a shit about other NFL teams.
It seems intuitive that when you play for a NFL team that has had the huge amount of success that the Chiefs have had, you count your lucky stars to be a part of it and you DON'T DO ANYTHING STUPID to screw that up. I dunno, these athletes who get into this kind of trouble must have some kind of mental issue. Ugh. |
So at least it sounds like no one’s seriously injured. Thank god for small favors I guess.

It's really hard to wrap your head around leaving the scene of an accident you caused, but I also understand the potency of fear in an emergency like that, especially for a high profile person who sees their entire future at stake. Whoever was driving, I hope they are being counseled to own up to their mistake and accept and learn from the consequences. |
There's no chance he's cut or anything like that if they're all minor injuries.
|
This might be a blessing in disguise and force the Chiefs hand to invest heavily at WR, without losing Rice.
|
He was racing on a public street and lost control and hit innocent people going about their day? Thats not good.

How did alcohol become part of the discussion?

Frank ****ing Clark had a Uzi in his car and got caught. That seems way worse than this

Hopefully it's only a 4 game suspension by the league.

Innocent until proven guilty, brah. |
Assuming he is indeed the driver, and assuming (as it would seem) that there are no serious injuries, it’s definitely not a career ended but wouldn’t be surprised to see him miss games next season. If that ends up being the case, I’ll first and foremost be happy that no one’s lives were ruined/ended on Easter of all days (can’t imagine that). But also, looking at this optimistically, if this is an occurrence that teaches Rice a valuable life long lesson and changes the way he operates going forward, it could be a blessing in disguise for both him as a person, his career and my favourite NFL team the Kansas City Chiefs!

Vehicle is registered in the parent’s name and the kid is driving it. Or in the case of a rich professional athlete with multiple vehicles registered in his name or being leased in his name and one of his family members/friends is driving the vehicle. In this situation it looks increasingly unlikely that Rice wasn’t at the very least at the scene as a driver/passenger, but the scenario of someone driving a vehicle registered/leased on someone else’s behalf is common. |

To this day I am still always beyond confused as to how players do the absolute dumbest shit ever when they have all the world in front of them.
No, I don't care or buy into the dumb shit like "we all did stupid shit" blah blah blah. NO! I never raced my car(s) on streets like this! It's braid dead shit when you just won a SB, had an amazing rookie season and are setting yourself up for generational wealth and a legacy. Mind blown |

Sounds like the Lamborghini wrecked that he was racing. He didn't, most likely just kept going.

The Chiefs have a ton of salary cap room and the draft still ahead of them.
At least this didn’t happen late in the offseason when they couldn’t do anything. That’s the only silver lining. |

How stupid do you have to be to flee the scene. If was under the influence he should absolutely do time.

Speculating is all anyone can do but it's hard to compare to anything else or know what the punishment will be because as far as we know he's still not turned himself in. Longer this goes on the worse it looks.

Sounds like we have no idea what really happened.
|
First thing Rice needs to do… and quickly… is get found by the police… and have a good lawyer with him.
|
Did he take the Mexican Blackbird down to Old Mexico?
