Kareem Hunt will rush for 1,000 yards this season GUARANTEED!!!!!

I think he can give you the same type of thing you're hoping to get from Perine. Not a game-breaker, but the type of player who can help you chew up yardage consistently against light boxes and deep safeties. |
There is seriously 27 pages worth of discussion since yesterday on this pickup?
He's a decent pickup for a team that needs some RB help....with not many options because no one is going to trade with the 2 time Super Bowl champions without asking too much in return. And everyone pining for Jet McKinnon needs to realize that the team evidently thinks he doesn't have it anymore or they would have resigned him earlier. |

That didnt look great, but also it was one of the best defenses in the league and his qb was a nobody that will probably never take an nfl snap again. I think he will be good for us down the stretch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If he can get 3.5ypc and keep Pat from getting smoked in pass pro, he's good.
That's the standard for a guy like MEH, should be the goal for any 3rd string back |
Our best hope is that Steele gets the job done.
Hunt is Insurance in case that doesn’t work. But I think he’s the best Insurance available. |

Once he left KC, there wasn't a word said about him in the media. Expect that to change.
He made a mistake, it happens. He's a football player, not a priest. Judge not, lest ye be judged. |

It is a bit frustrating we brought in JK Dobbins and then just decided CEH was better. Dobbins has 266 yards, 9.9 ypc so far through 2 games and is, you know, leading the league in rushing yards. The next worst thing is he's on the Chargers.
|

Scuttlebutt seems to be he wanted a chance to run the ball more than he would here. I think they would have needed to overpay to get him. |
Quote:
We had an RB1. The Chargers didn't. The dude is comingoff an ACL tear. No one thought he'd hit the ground running, and no one would've thought tie goes to the Chiefs in this situation in a battle with the Chargers and others. So, so sorry you're "frustrated." Boo hoo. |
You know damn well Clark had to get the approval from his girls first. They’re around players all the time.

For those who are concerned about Hunt's age.
Alvin Kamara= 29 years old Aaron Jones= 29 years old Derrick Henry= 30 years old Ezekiel Elliot= 29 years old Joe Mixon= 28 years old Christian Mccaffrey= 28 years old Gus Edwards= 29 years old James Conner= 29 years old Raheem Mostert= 32 years old Jamaal Williams= 29 years old Austin Ekeler= 29 years old All are playing in the league right now whether it's as the main back or in a committee. Kamara and Jones have been good this year and age 31 Motsert got 18 TD's. So let's just give Kareem a chance before we judge what he can bring to the team. |
I still can’t believe they signed him.
How cool. I bet Tyreek is going to be begging to get traded back to KC by the deadline after Miami falls deeper in their hole. Even though he knows that ship has sailed. |
If teams play the light box like the Bengals did, Hunt can punish them. It's unfortunate that the Chiefs have to play this way, losing your WR1 and RB1 tends to limit your options.

Marcus Allen was 33 when we signed him and he played for 5 yrs. He did have low miles on the tires but that's pretty old for a rb.. Hunt might have some game in him too..

We sign another WR were right back on the tracks to threepeat. Not that we need to rush to sign anyway. Hopefully we can find a decent deal and Hunt will be good enough. I hope he can get a ring

Either way, the more I think about Hunt I like it more. He's going to be more motivated here than anywhere else to show the world what could have been. He's still gotta be better than CEH so either way it's an upgrade. |

I’ll be at the Charger game next Sunday, hopefully he gets a few reps.

I know this won't make me popular but we haven't had a true #1 RB since Hunt left. All we had is a bunch of average RB's and that includes Pacheco. He was #17th in rushing last year, with 935 yds in 14 games. meh..I like him but isn't what Kareem was. Hunt had 1327 yds his rookie season and was on his way to that number again or higher before he left. He had 827 yds in 11 games for us.
The only question I have is the lack of a good RB the talent we have or is it because our OL isn't a great run blocking unit? I will be interested to see how Hunt runs behind this OL and that should tell us quite a bit. |
Quote:
Now let's consider that he only played 14 games. If we annualize that to 17 games, it's 1135yds. Compared with other running backs who played 17 games, that's 32yds behind Derrick Henry, 13yds ahead of James Cook, 141yds ahead of Breece Hall, and 159yds ahead of Bijan Robinson. I'm not saying he's better than those guys, but he's in the same conversation and bracket as them. And those are clear #1 RBs. |
Plus.....it's a RB. Go find another one.

he may have been horrible the last 2 years... but coming back to the Chiefs is going to ignite the fire within on this guy. He's gonna pop off, at least a few times.
This is his Redemption Era. |

I would not get in Kareem Hunt’s way!

It's unhealthy how bad I wanna see Kareem come back and have one magical season en route to LIX and his ring. This is the stuff that makes sports incredible.
Now, to opposing fans its anything but. However, I get chills thinking about what if he can take advantage of this environment and score about 10 TDs with over 1000 all purpose yards. |
