I dont think the Bills will run the table with a pretty tough schedule...I also expect KC to offensively ratchet it up in the final month. It feels like they have been "Rope-a-doping" the league and only showing what they have to. The Denver gameplan was about as uninspired as they could get away with.

Florio says "they play with their food"...and I think there is some truth to that. Sucks as the games seem more clinical/methodical. I'm sure Vegas loves them for the close games though..

Having JuJu, Kelce, Worthy and Hopkins on the field at the same time is the most intriguing part of this weekend. That's a lot of expert route running in the intermediate...should spring Worthy.

Yeah I don't have numbers to back this up, but it certainly feels like the Chiefs have played better on the road over the last several years. But of course we'd like the bye.

RunKC 11-14-2024 12:54 PM

There’s a lot of analysts saying we are talking like we are walking into a buzzsaw this Sunday. I don’t think it’s gonna be a blowout by any means either way.

It’s gonna come down to the final 2 mins as usual

Josh Allen and McDermott treat this game like it's their super bowl every year and play it with that intensity. We always seem to play it as if it's another game, because that's what it is. So I just don't get all that excited by it, since the team as a whole seems pretty non-plussed about it.

It's for the damn one seed. Do you even football man?

Maybe not, though.

Since we bumble****ed our way into a win over the Broncos, we’ll still be the 1 seed even if the Bills beat us lol

It's probably going to be the most influential regular season AFC game from a playoff seeding standpoint, so it's as much a game for the one seed as any we'll have unless Pittsburgh ruins the table until we play or something crazy along those lines.

Agreed.

Ravens-Steelers and Chargers-Bengals this weekend too. Crazy slate for the AFC playoff picture.

I think we are going to lead the game for about 80% of it.

Bills probably score on the opening drive and then don't lead again after Chiefs score. In control the whole time, but not a blowout.

Sounds like McDermott doesn’t really know what’s going on. He makes it sound like it’s just a pain issue. But today Cooper said he plans to play with a cast.

It's hard to imagine Brown plays, or Kincaid, when they're DNPs on Thursday. Milano has already been deemed out.

Couple of MASH units out there.

Pretty sure this week the ravens will show that the Steelers are not for real. Same for the Bengals beating the Chargers, but I don’t think the Chargers have the respect that Pittsburgh has somehow earned anyway.

In my view, we have to be worried about three teams. Bengals if they have the trio of Chase, Higgens and Joe. Ravens if Lamar doesn’t choke. They have already figured out how to use Jackson and Henry together, which wasn’t the case our first game against them. And the bills. Normally you could rely on Mahomes beating Allan even when they both bring their a game. But that hasn’t been the case so far with Mahomes this year and how he has not been playing his elite level. Hopefully that will change this Sunday.

If we get home-field advantage with a win on Sunday, that will be so important as it will give us at least one if not, two games to rest people up.

personally, i see the steelers/ravens splitting the season series. the steelers might lose tomorrow, but i think the last ravens/steelees game will be what determines the division. having been playing around w the ESPN playoff machine a bunch recently, I definitely see at least 5 or 6 losses for the Ravens on the year. People want to act like they’re some super team but they’re a team with a super offense and a super stinky defense.

on the whole, i really don’t see a huge difference in overall quality between the two. ravens are just flashier. one could easily argue the steelers are a much more well rounded team, and that might play itself out this weekend. If the ravens offense doesn’t play a *perfect* game it’s gonna be a struggle.

also i think the chargers are incredibly scary and I have a feeling they’re gonna look good against the bengals. they are legitimately the last team i want to play in the playoffs. Bengals right behind them. the steelers are also probably a worse matchup than baltimore too because baltimore has no pass rush and teams that have no pass rush arent gonna beat us. yes, the ravens offense is scary compared to pittsburgh, but I would trust spags to dial up enough plays to keep them off balance while we’d roast their defense all game long. bengals overall dont have a pass rush but they seem to against us for whatever reason

Looking at the Steelers' schedule, they've beaten...
Falcons, Broncos, Chargers, Raiders, Jets, Giants, Commanders

Lost to the Colts and Cowboys.

And somehow that shit schedule earns you a stronger SOS and SOV than the Bills (and by a good margin for SOV). LMAO

St. Patty's Fire 11-14-2024 06:01 PM

ravens are the 2018 chiefs. and that team build lost to a team built more like the current chiefs team. ravens dont scare me at all.

Steelers have four wins against teams w a .500 record. Thats not bad. The ravens have 3. They have one impressive win against Buffalo. They lost to the ****ing Browns.

Don't have the clip on hand but last year at TX Worthy ran this really sick pivot route inside the 5-yard line to get wide open on a TD and I have a feeling they've been waiting until this week to break that one out.

This is going to be a giant tease for the playoffs. Both teams are short handed and won’t look like they are this weekend in January. Both don’t have a ton to lose here. HFA is possible but they have played us in Arrowhead so many times so I doubt that’s the end of the world for them.

Both teams also have their division locked up already too.

This matchup is gonna be the AFCCG IMO

I'm interested to see how Spags deals with Cook more than anything, as the rest of the Bills' weapons won't be suiting up. But Cook is another Aaron Jones/A. Kamara type RB with a great combo of speed, twitch, vision and above average receiving ability. The fact that most of the Bills starting receivers won't be playing will allow Spags to spend more resources/attention to stopping Cook will help, but it'll be interesting regardless as a primer for the playoffs.

It's just embarrassing the JAG TEs that have feasted on this defense

chiefforlife 11-15-2024 11:45 AM

Our games with Buffalo always seem to come down to a field goal.

Thats the part that worries me with Butker out.

Well that and the TE. Yes Kincaid is out but Dawson Knox is pretty good. Our biggest weakness on D is covering the TE as we know.

Sure would be nice to get up on them early and eliminate the run game. Then terrorize Josh all afternoon. Maybe we see Uche chasing him down!

Those teams had other weapons though. The Chiefs took other threats away but that left the TE. Aren't TEs supposed to create matchup problems in today's NFL? I wish the opposing TEs weren't JAGs but our LBs aren't great in coverage.

The biggest weapon IMO is still Allen with his legs.

Yea, this ****ing defense is sooo EMBARRASING!

JFC, you've become such a whiny bundle of sticks.

Interesting fact: This will be only the 5th week 11 game since 1970 where both teams have 8+ wins. Note the team who appears most often on the list :D

We shore up our TE defense and we could be undefeated rn

Seriously. Even the Chiefs making a lot of sloppy mistakes last Sunday it was fixable stuff and they only allowed 14 points.

It wasn’t talent or missed tackles issue. It was all about scheme adjustment.

Imo this is utter nonsense.

1. Isiah Likely is the only TE thus far who got 100 yards this season against KC.

2. KC has only let up two TD's to TE's this season.

The first game Likely did his thing yes. Then Eric All had a few catches for the Bengals and Kyle Pitts popped one run and all of a sudden the narative was created that we can't stop TE's. Bowers and Otton had decent games but neither got 80 yards. So folks need to get over this silly notion. Players will have good games and Knox might too. But "weakness"?? Smh.

I dislike the Buffalo Bills.

I have disliked them since the 1994 afc championship game when they knocked out Joe Montana with 13:23 left to go in the 3rd quarter.

I took great joy in watching The Dallas Cowboys beat them in the superbowl for their 4th consecutive loss, 30-13.

I dislike the idea that Josh Allen has done anything of note. He's a Rollercoaster turnover machine whose most noteworthy accomplishments are as follows.

1. Got spanked 38-24 in the AFC title game at Arrowhead.

2. Came within 13 seconds of beating Mahomes at Arrowhead.

3. Treated the Buffalo faithful to a game that ended with a tribute to Scott Norwood's colossal failure in a home AFC Divisional Playoff game.

The Bills attempted to re create what KC has by signing our sloppy seconds. MVS, and Mike Edwards have since been cut from the team. MVS languishes on a spiraling Saints team, and Edwards is on his 3rd roster this season, being cut by Buffalo, then Tennessee, and has now signed with the team that drafted him, Tampa Bay.

The Chiefs will roll into Buffalo with championship swagger, and just as the loser with no shot yearns for the Prom Queen, and looks on as the Prom King sweeps her off her feet right in front of him yet AGAIN.

Perhaps the Chiefs will take pity on the Bills, as the Prom King did with the loser, and slowly pass two fingers under their noses, letting them breathe deeply of that which they will never have.

**** Buffalo.

Kincaid Out - I'd rather face them at their finest.

Otter 11-15-2024 03:00 PM

If I had any money left in the betting thread I'd bet against KC to assure a win.

I don’t care what their injuries are.

They’re not worse than ours

Kincaid is on pace for like 600 yds this year.

They make it sound like prime-Gronk is out or something.

Injuries are a fact of life in the game, you get who you get, plus it's not like it's Allen that's out.
