I had to take him, so I decided to turn my phone off and enjoy the match and then avoid the radio on the way home and then watch it back later. But early in the match I hear some old dudes behind me saying "The Texans are pounding the Chiefs already." My heart sank. I kept my phone off and enjoyed my time there with my nephew, but when we got back to the truck, I had to know. We found a youtube channel of some Giants fans who were live commenting on the game. We started listening right when Mecole had his big return. We sat in that ****ing parking garage for 45 minutes waiting to get out helplessly listening to these guidos laugh at the Texans and drool over the Chiefs. |

Listening to Matt Verderame break this game down. This game should not be close.
Not gonna pump this guy up more than needed but man his breakdown of this game was by far the best of any of the Chiefs media I’ve seen. |

Offense just has to play smart and not turn it over. 24 points will win this game. Maybe 20. |

On paper, our defense should have a big day. Some points Ted Nguyen from The Athletic made:
- C.J. Stroud has been below average against the blitz (24th in EPA vs. blitz during the regular season) - In Week 16, the Chiefs blitzed Stroud on 19 dropbacks. He threw two touchdowns and an interception but had one of his worst EPA games against the blitz of the season (-0.08) - One of the Texans’ answers against the blitz was screens but the Chiefs were ready for them. The Texans’ four wide receiver screens went for minus-9 yards in that loss. |

Tickets to the Chiefs’ first playoff game vs. Texans keep dropping. See latest prices
By Joseph Hernandez January 17, 2025 5:00 AM The Chiefs are attempting to become the first NFL team to three-peat, and The Star is covering every bit of the action with all the updates, behind-the-scenes stories, in-depth analysis and coverage you won’t find anywhere else. Subscribe to the free Chiefs Extra newsletter to get it right in your inbox before and after every game. If you’ve been waiting until the last moment to buy tickets for the Chiefs’ AFC Divisional Round game, now is the time. Since The Star started tracking prices in December, the cheapest seats have dropped from $175 to $145, and now prices for the game are as low as they’ve ever been since going on sale. The weather could be a factor, since temperatures are expected to be around 23 degrees at game time, with wind chills between 9 and 13 degrees, a National Weather Service forecaster said Wednesday, Jan. 15. Chiefs fans watching the team take on the Houston Texans will need to bundle up and prepare well. Here’s how ticket prices look around Arrowhead Stadium on the Ticketmaster website. All ticket availability and prices are accurate as of Thursday, Jan. 16. How much does a Chiefs playoff ticket cost? Ticketmaster The cheapest ticket for the Chiefs’ divisional round playoff game on Ticketmaster is $110 before fees. This seat is in section 330, row 33, located at the highest points in the stadium and offering no protection from the weather. The next cheapest ticket is $115 in section 312, row 5. These tickets are also verified resale, meaning someone else is selling their ticket after buying it on Ticketmaster. For a verified Chiefs ticket, $125 seats can be found all over the upper level, like in sections 305 and 340. Two tickets in section 246, row 8, go for $600 and $625 each, but a single ticket in the same row in section 201 costs $850. These seats are in the club level, which gives fans access to exclusive dining sections and lounges with full coverage from the weather. The seats themselves are protected from some weather elements, like rain, because they’re covered overhead. Prices in this area have gone up since December. Verified resale tickets are available at the 50-yard line in section 119, with prices as low as $373. The suite above 119 is also where Taylor Swift usually watches the games, and two verified resale seats cost $549 in row 38, which could land fans just a few feet away from the superstar. These prices have dropped since last check on Thursday, Jan. 9. Seats directly across from section 119 on the visitor’s side in section 101 are still expensive. One ticket in section 101, row 20, costs $510. A seat in the same section in row 1 costs $600. 1.This feels a little like the Colts Divisional game back in 2018, Colts came overblown by the media due to an overrated win in the WC round.
2. This is going to be a Proxy September, Reid is going have a load of un-scouted looks with Hollywood, Hopkins and Worthy now being up to speed. Chiefs 34 Texans 14 |
I dont see how Hous can score on offense. They had 2 pick six against the overated Chargers. They have one receiver to STOP. The rest would not make the Chiefs team. They think they can run but KC is very good against the run. They think their QB is mobile but KC plays and defeats mobile QBs all the time. See Balt, Buff, Den, ETC.
The only way Chiefs lose is if they turn it over 3 or more times with some Hous D points and special teams TDS. Unlikely. If the KC defense cant stop this offense then how will they stop Balt. or Buff.? Chiefs 30 Texans 13 |
