It's time for the Bears to address another area of great need. This guy should start immediately, with Mike Brown departing. While they did sign Josh Bullocks, he's not going to be the long term answer at the position.
The Chicago Bears select Derrick Pegues FS Mississippi State |
I was just about to step out for the night, then I decided to log in. Maybe it'll save us 18 hours, and/or me making a pick while shitfaced.
Given Nate Davis' fall from grace, sometimes the best pick is the one you don't get a chance to make. I don't think anyone could have predicted the debacle that has been his offseason, especially given that it's also come out that he has a learning disorder. I cannot in good faith give the Tampa Bay franchise nothing more than a McNown to rest their hats on. I fully believe that the Bucs will have a very high pick next year, but at this point, the success or growth of this pick will give them more flexibility with their high 1 next year. Left end, 3-tech, WR, OL, and the secondary still have holes, and there are players that I like here for some of those spots, but none of them offer this much upside. Rather than waiting for Sam Bradford, I'll draft the guy who he was supposed to backup. The Tampa Bay Bucs select Rhett Bomar, QB, Sam Houston State/Oklahoma Chevy. |
The Philadelphia Eagles select Aaron Kelly, WR, Clemson
Kevin Curtis isn't getting any younger and the Eagles are still lacking that true red zone threat. Aaron Kelly is 6'5" and with the 38" vertical he showed at the combine he is the red zone threat that the Eagles are looking for. With Curtis, DeSean Jackson, Aaron Kelly, Brian Westbrook, Knowshon Moreno and Brandon Pettigrew......McNabb has nothing to complain about. Plus Philly's offense is set for years. |
The Texans need more help in the secondary.
At 118, the Houston Texans select Asher Allen, CB, Georgia. The Ravens are on the clock. |
I met Brian Robiskie a couple weekends ago, and didn't know who he was until later. We were at a restaurant in Columbus, Ohio.
We had to wait about 45 minutes for a table. While we were waiting a group of eight people or so came in and waited next to us. His dad was really cool. We exchanged pleasantries, his wife was really nice also. (his dad is a wide receiver coach for the Falcons). We were seated and and ordered the food. Then the table next to us cleared out and they sat next to our table. Anyway, a guy came over and asked for his autograph. We were like, ummm, who is that guy? I thought he was a basketball player because he was tall. Then later we asked the waiter and he told us who he was. I wasn't familar with the name so i looked it up on the internet when we got home. I told the GF who it was and who his dad was excitedly, she was like . She doesn't know or care about sports. He is a nice, and quiet guy, from what i could tell. |
Sorry for the delay - out of town with limited internet access.
The Ravens go value here and select a TE to pair with, and eventually replace Heap. Chiefs select TE Travis Beckum, Wisconsin. |

If he's fully recovered from his injury he's got a skill set similar to Dustin Keller (a little less speed though). |

I'm picking for OTW.
Well, I just don't see any way that this player will make it to my Kansas City pick, and given that OTW was gracious enough to give me his picks for the weekend, I'm going to do him right. The Patriots need almost all their help on the defensive side of the ball. They've added one MLB in Laurinaitis, but now they can add a two down thumper to play the TED position, so that Adalius Thomas can just pin his ears back most of the time. The New England Patriots select Jasper Brinkley, ILB, South Carolina |
The Falcons released Lawyer Milloy in February, and don't really have anyone to step into the role.
They'll take a safety here to compete with Jamal Fudge and Eric Brock to fill the position. Falcons select Jamarca Sanford, SS, Ole Miss |

Miami Dolphins select Scott McKillop, LB, Pitt
