JFC.

He wasn't a "big disapointment." He was a liability in pass defense the first few weeks.

It's OK. You don't need to try and prove some point that isn't there.

Eric Berry is very good, and is going to be one of the best in the league.

That still doesn't mean he didn't suck in coverage his first few weeks in the NFL, leaving some to be a bit concerned with his transition.

Just like people were justified in worrying about Cassel, and he has now turned a corner, apparently.

THE SAN DIEGO CHARGERS WOULD WIN THE DIVISION IN THAT CASE.

Demonpenz 12-26-2010 01:39 PM

Wrong. No one was justified in worrying about Berry. No one. Such worries made absolutely no sense then and make as much sense now. You can't name one rookie safety who didn't need an adjustment period.

I want to see eric berry on offense at some point. he's the second- best rb in the league.

and i'll say it: berry neds more carries.

That's fine. When it first looked like we had a chance at the playoffs, and Berry was letting guys run free, I was concerned. Not about Berry, as I continually said he would develop into one of the best. My concern was that he could negatively impact games THIS SEASON that could affect our playoff chances. And if he would have continued to play like he did the first few weeks, we probably aren't looking like a playoff team right now.
