9ers always get the best of us. If I had $$$$ on this I say they probably did it again. At least it's the 9ers

how do they know that? From the 3 games and one target he has? Or are we maybe just spinning our wheels for no ****ing reason.

I think there is far more we don't now about AJ than we do... He is a lottery ticket, nothing more.

We have seen it. Look at the pass he dropped against the Chiefs. Sean Smith barely touched him yet he dropped the ball and went flying backwards like he had been blown up by DJ....

49ers fans watched him while running a route that was specifically drawn for him, get blasted by a linemen, who wasn't even looking at him, but again he looked like he got hit by a TRUCK.

We have not seen a lot of aj Jenkins, but in his limited time, its not been good. His one catch, he fumbled, his one opportunity last year in a regular season game no one within 10 yards of him, perfectly placed he dropped.

Teams do not give up on first round picks that quickly unless they see no upside at all.

If you cant be physically tough on a team like the 49ers who instills toughness as a fundamental property, then I don't have much faith in that player.

For the record, Jon Baldwin isn't going to last long in SF either.

"OK, I'm here and finally have my money to enjoy. I sacrificed in college and I'm tired of it and I just want to party now that I have my money".

Like you said, you would think these guys would all understand their opportunity and how quickly the door closes on it. But some guys are just immature and it takes a while to get through to them, if ever.

Look at Ricky Williams. He played 2 years and then retired, only coming back because his team sued for the pay they had given him.

Williams played three years in NO.

I don't know where you got a total of two years played for him

I'm not defending the guy, or saying he is going to be great....but the sample size it too small and your authoritative tone are laughable.

I guess. Im not trying to be authoritative. Nothing makes me more frustrated than a guy with true ability, that doesn't make use of it. Im sure that is a lot of the frustration with Baldwin for Chiefs fans. The POTENTIAL for him had to seem boundless when he was drafted by the Chiefs.

Aj Jenkins was supposed to come in and team with Crabs and give the 49ers an explosive set of receivers. But then he came in out of shape, refused an offer from the GOAT in Jerry Rice, then could only play in 3 games after manningham went down for the year.

its not good. And he hasn't really ever shown the desire to get better. If anything to be honest, he looks worse this year, than he did last year. Last year in preseason you could see the speed, and hands a little bit. This year, was just bad.

Sorry if I have an authoritative tone towards a bust of a first round wr that I had hope for.

Can't believe this thread is still going.

99% of informed Chiefs fans are not sorry to see Baldwin go. His absence creates a roster spot for another WR. Whether it's Jenkins or some URFA that no one has ever heard of, it really doesn't matter.

This has me wondering if AJ Jenkins has a Danica Patrick problem.

Danica Patrick is a fast qualifier. She starts near the front because she is blistering on an empty track. Then you throw in traffic, and she goes cautious and can't pass and can't hold off other racers. On an empty track, she is a champion. In a real race, she is an also-ran who almost never podiums.

Now AJ is getting praise for practice in non-contact drills. Give him contact, and he crumbles.

I don't think this is coach-able. I guess we'll see.

That's Jon Baldwin's problem, too. Looks GREAT in practice! He's a completely different player in the games, though.

It's looking more and more like all the Chiefs and Niners did was waste two airline tickets sending these guys to their new teams.

I'm sure Baldwin is a bust. These are just two bums with new scenery before they get jobs at Mickey D's or somewhere.

Looking more and more based on what?

Neither one should need to work again if they are smart with money.

Practice heros, big game zeros. Both players.

Oh ok.

I'm hoping a system change will help, seems Reid and co liked Jenkins coming out.

Likely they'll never be anything though
