I'm not saying its a good idea. I'm saying it happens.
He's a guy that has been good from the day he was drafted. Probably outplayed his rookie contract when it comes down to it. Never been in trouble, no injuries, played well through a dog and pony show of coaches and QBs. Now his team, sitting on a boatload of cash earned by years of being cheap, years where he played through all those loses that came with being cheap. Now they don't want to pay him what he thinks he's worth. And you don't think there's any chance he'll take offense to that?
I don't give a shit if Pioli holds the cards. All I give a shit about is keeping that talent that we've accumulated throughs years of shitty seasons.
