Just pretend I'm not a Wilson fan and realize my point is TWO FIRST ROUND PICKS isn't much for a quality QB, at all. Just like we won the Alex Smith deal EASILY

"Wilson leads all QB’s in the NFL over the last 3 years with 10- 4th quarter comebacks and 15- game-winning drives. No other QB in NFL history has ever done this in their first 3 years."

Yet, some people think he doesn't make plays.

This isn't Madden, fellas. NO Owner would allow this.

I wouldn't give 2 firsts, but I'd give one.

Thinking as a GM/owner, I'm fearful of giving up 2 picks for him because of the contract he's going to get.

I'm pretty sure that's more than what "you know who" has compiled in 10 years.

Gee, 1 whole 1st round pick! Man! Big spender! I bet you clip coupons and hold up the line at Walgreens, too.

BossChief 06-25-2015 01:31 PM

It's fun to think about, but impossible for it to happen in real life.

If we cut Alex Smith next offseason, we would take a huge dead money hit.

He is here until we trade him for a 2 after the 2016 season.

These are late first rounders were talking about, here.

Shit, even if they were top 5 picks, look at the crap we've drafted with all the top 5 picks we had.

omg

You just ... can't ... be ...

my head might explode

It's not just two first round picks, Hootie. It's also the $25 million per year salary that comes along with him.

All for a guy that averages 200 yards per game throwing the ball.

And I've heard they want it mostly guaranteed and started negotiations saying they want it fully guaranteed.

With the way the cap is going up, I will be shocked if the guy doesn't get it. Maybe not fully guaranteed, but I wouldn't be shocked to see him sign a 140m contract with north of 100m guaranteed for 6 years.

If Seattle puts the non exclusive tag on him, they are going to regret it when the Cardinals make him an offer.

Easily worth 25 million for that. Should have two of them, which easily justifies it.

who in the ****ing **** cares about how many yards per game he averages throwing the ball?

Carson Palmer threw for 4200 yards on the 2012 Oakland Raiders because he was so ****ing bad for 3 quarters he padded his stats in a ton of meaningless 4th quarters

I'll be surprised if he gets from Seattle, especially considering his and their responses to his contract demands.

I'd also be surprised if he ended up in Arizona because he doesn't fit Arians' style of offense.
