It'll be cool to go watch Greinke this summer. Perhaps I'll adopt the D-Backs as my NL team. I'm in Arizona this weekend house hunting. Hopefully I'll find something I like enough to make an offer to get some stability back in my life lol

Hey man! Enjoy the perfect 75 degree weather we are having and will have for the next week!

Hope it all goes well. I'd definitely be down for some Greinke games.

Or that he really believes in the DBacks.

They can score a lot of runs, they were 8th in runs scored. They just dont have pitching.

Admittedly, I've only seen them play a couple of games against the Nationals. I don't remember anything standing out about them. I did do a double take the first time I saw Goldschmidt's stats on the scoreboard.

I just think that if he wanted to win - truly wanted to win - there were better options available. And I don't mean the Dodgers.

IIRC, they signed. 10 year, $1 billion dollar TV deal recently so they can afford him.

I know the Cards got a huge tv deal too.
Too bad the Royals are missing out on this tv money.

Just goes to show he was always about the money. I know dealing him away brought Cain and Escobar, but it still steams me he quit on the Royals. And it makes me incredibly happy that they've played in two World Series and he hasn't come within spitting distance of one.

Better AAV than Price.

Ken Rosenthal is saying it's actually 6 years, $206 million. That includes some deferred money though.

The Royals only have themselves to blame

That comes out to almost $35 million a year. No one else has ever done better. He is going to make $1 million per start.

alnorth 12-04-2015 08:29 PM

Ho-Lee Shit.

Greinke is the highest-paid player in baseball, and its not even close

We just need to be at least decent in 2018 and we'll get a fair deal for our market size.

I'm still a fan of Greinke. He was the only bright spot on the Royals for a long time.
