I was just about to post something similar.

He could have easily done this three weeks from now. But no, he does it during the lead up to the Super Bowl. I'm sure at this point the average fan doesn't give a shit, but his ballwashers in the media will all rush to assume the position.

The worst thing is though, is that even if he is actually retiring, it means we're still gonna have to see and hear his ugly, insufferable ass calling games as a broadcaster every damn week.
