Hardman was wide open on the final drive for a game winning TD :(

They are a significantly better team though. Much better QB, much better weapons, much better defense than the Raiders.

I don’t think trash talk is a good strategy for anyone. But it has worked for the Bengals. They talk trash while simultaneously complaining that nobody respects them. Playing both sides of the coin has led to a lot of success for them. We’ll see if it works for them again this weekend.

So which of your Bengals jerseys will you be wearing? :hmmm:

Yep. He was stubbornly NOT taking what was there.

1. Quick throws
2. Run the ball

I think this defense can do both. Pass rushers might want to focus on batting down balls rather than screaming upfield on neutral downs. We need our linebackers to play the run and tackle better than they did against Jacksonville.

Orlovsky makes a valid point. The Bengals' make-shit offensive line may hold up, or it may not. The assumption that it will is misplaced.

1st and goal, nearly fumbles the game away forcing to settle for a long FG to tie. Just absolutely maddening how we lost the 2 AFCC games.

Kelce has 7 straight 1,000 yard seasons, posted career numbers this year without Tyreek, and is one of the all time leaders in playoff receiving yards and playoff TDs. If there was a “formula” for stopping him, DCs would have figured it out by now. Just nonsense talk from Edelman here.

I don’t wear sports jerseys. Only little kids should be doing that. I’ll be rooting hard for the Chiefs to win. They have an uphill battle to do it, especially with Patrick’s injury.

The defense has to carry the lion's share of that 2018 AFCCG.

I'll place most of the blame for the 2021 AFCCG on Pat, though. If we simply swap him with Henne at half, we probably win that game. It's like Mahomes completely forgot how to play football. It was unreal.

Sometimes you need experiences like that to not let your head get too big. It seemed like we tried to switch up who we were, bringing that mentality of the Alex Smith days back where we would get up big then just protect the lead. I really was baffled too, when they said dropping 8 was the key to beating Mahomes, I'm like "Really?" With his arm talent and low amount of interceptions he can't work it down the field with screens and dink and dunks to run clock just because of more defenders dropping back? That's the best thing about Patty though, his mistakes seemingly piss him off. I'm glad it happened early in Mahomes' career, during his cocky prime where the world bowed down to him. Humbled and focused, tempered by fire.

True, but regardless Ford has probably been playing football most of his life and should have known where to line up and backed up 6-8 inches. That’s one of those penalties that frustrates me so much as it’s pre snap and completely avoidable. I get heat of the moment penalties, not pre snap (outside of false starts).

Now are the refs uneven on enforcement of calls like that? Sure. Look at Washington vs NYG this year. Regardless of the uneven enforcement, don’t make dumb mistakes and leave it in the hands of the refs.

Eh it's honestly a crap shoot what they call with no rhyme or reason. There's a penalty or 2 on every play.

Right? What a moronic take. Chiefs scored 30 or so in that game, as I recall. If you score that many points, you should win. Just like the Rams game that season. They scored over 50 and still lost. That defense couldn't stop anything. And even the one time they appeared to have stopped NE, a blockhead was offsides. :doh!:

Yeah, it’s still hard to believe he messed up like that. Seems like it’s the most basic element of playing the defensive positions.
