I think we could still win if Barkley gets to like 125-140 but will limit our possessions. And I don’t see their defense getting after Mahomes when their Sack Nation defense didn’t get him once 2 years ago. I think limiting Goedert is a big key in this game. He’s the relief outlet for Hurts, and that’s our kryptonite.

Also overlooked is that Philly have played a 2nd place schedule from last season so their games have been easier than ours.

The often undervalued facet the Chiefs have is the sheer aura of Andy and Pat on the opposite sidelines to coaching staffs who get panicked into abandoning the identity that brought them to that stage far too early and easily (Ravens AFCCG2024, Bills final drive AFCCG2025). That the opposition has just as much conviction as we do that, if given even the smallest of chances, Mahomes will march our team down the field to pick up whatever is needed to take the game away from them frays them and makes them make mental mistakes.

Two predictions I’ve made have come true. A Chiefs win continues the tradition.

1. Every Super Bowl Mahomes plays in will have the same storyline. “NFC Team has the better roster, but the Chiefs have the better QB.”

2. After Mahomes wins, the NFC team is immediately diminished as not being as good as everyone thought and “Well of course Mahomes beat THAT quarterback”.

Same people who talk about the NFC rep being a super team will tell you that Mahomes got an easy draw after the game.

They know a ton of people are betting with emotions at this point.

They’re also falling for the “Super Team” talk and convincing themselves that the Chiefs suck besides Mahomes.
