Well the link noted the reported attendance to that titanic matchup actually exceeded MU-UNC. Yeah like fo real!

I was able to find plenty of pictures from the game Mizzou actually played in. Most of them involved Tigers players holding up a trophy.

On the flip side in 2010 we set an attendance record (at the time, no idea if it's still standing) for our Insight Bowl game against Iowa which I attended and would estimate the split at roughly 50/50. Which is played in Phoenix. Fantastic place to be at the end of December.

OU vs Iowa set it the next year at 54, vs 53 for your game. Both vs Iowa. Kansas had 49 two years prior

OU and Iowa both travel well but I attest we held up our end....you couldn't tell looking at colors as they're the same but crowd noise was evenly split being there.

Was that the one y'all played against Minny?

That was the Insight Bowl. It drew a .4 Nielsen rating...roughly a quarter of the 1.53 that Mizzou drew for that Independence Bowl.

It was on NFL Network no one got it IIRC
Not that people clamor to watch KU football but still that played a role in the rating.
I am still trying to figure out exactly what is being debated here

Maybe if the Jayhawks would have done better than 2-10, they could have packed their bowl game that year.

Instead, they're talking shit about Mizzou only drawing 42k to a game in Shreveport two years ago...less than two weeks after setting a futility record for fewest fans ever...on homecoming.

I take back what I said about 10K. There aren't even 5K there. I'd say Mizzou looks to have brought about 3K to that bowl and UNC brought their pep band.

What do you expect when two basketball schools meet in a bowl?

I think we're on to how in the hell KU and Oklahoma got top billing over Florida-MU this Saturday.

That's for the football game? I figured it was the much ballyhooed basketball scrimmage they were showing....now I'm irked.
