Video of the new Star Wars “Galaxy Edge” part of the park.
https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...FVluwQodCWwA0w The video, which was shared during the 2018 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, lets you see the size, scope and amazing detail that’s already being put in place in this new land, which is set to open in 2019. At Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, guests will be transported to the planet of Batuu, a remote outpost on the galaxy’s edge that was once a busy crossroads along the old sub-lightspeed trade routes. Here, guests will find themselves in the middle of the action at two attractions that take detail and immersion to the next level: one that lets guests take the controls of Millennium Falcon on a customized secret mission, and an epic Star Wars adventure that puts guests in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance. I'm down here right now. Pandora was really cool. Hollywood studios really empty tonight. Bag checker was a Titans fan. Amusing conversation.

I went to Hollywood Studios a couple weeks ago. Lines for Tower of Terror and Rock n Rolla Coaster were like 25 minutes. ****ing awesome. Idk why anyone would ever come here in the summertime. That’s a miserable experience. |

Coral Reef restaurant in the Living Seas (you get to watch the fish go by). Food's better than I expected and the prices aren't outrageous for where you are. Biergarten in Germany. Good buffet and atmosphere. If you don't eat in the restaurant, just through the opening you can get pretzels and kugel at a fast-food window. Morocco. I've eaten inside; nice atmosphere, plus belly dancers. Haven't tried the outside spot yet. Mexico. Again, I've eaten inside; great atmosphere, food is very decent but not earth-shattering. Haven't tried the place outside. The pizza in Italy was good but not mind-blowing. The food in France likewise (at least in the lower-priced sit-down restaurant) but in the back of France is a fast-food place with good pastry. Haven't eaten in Norway but I always hit the fast-food place for a school bread. China's restaurant sucks. Japan's hibachi is nothing you can't get anywhere in the U.S. Haven't eaten in Canada. I like England, even though it's average fish and chips. The buffet in the Land pavilion is better than expected. Haven't eaten in the revolving restaurant there but I hear it's meh. |
By the way, you can check out the menus for the sit-down restaurants right on Disney's site. For example, here's the Coral Reef one.
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/di.../menus/dinner/ Of all the places I mentioned, Biergarten is probably the one I always have to do. The rest are every now-and-then places. By the way, if you're elsewhere in the parks, the Tusker House buffet and the Yak & Yeti (both in Animal Kingdom) are excellent. |

My God - I'll never forget that place. Took our kids there in like 1977-78....We walked up to the gate (day tickets) and I like to fell over when the girl told me $390 for the day..
The only "ride" if you will, that we walked right up to was the haunted mansion. Everything else was (at the least) an hour wait. Hotter than hell and humid as the rain forest. Didn't bother me a great deal - I had went to SERE school at Eglin - but the kids and my Wife were dying - spent a small fortune on water, slushies, and other drinks staying hydrated. Never again.....never again |
