The Giants have picked:
1. DE Michael Johnson, Georgia Tech 2. DB Sean Smith, Utah 2. WR Louis Murphy, Florida 3. QB Chase "Toolbox" Daniel 3. OLB Gerald McRath, Southern Mississippi The Giants still need a lot of help planning for their future LB corps. McRath could be promising on the outside, but help in the middle is still going to be a need as very soon as next year. Daniel Holtzclaw from E Mich is as physically primed as you can get in the fourth round. His upside is huge but since he comes from a small school, some downside is prevalent as well. The Giants are just taking all kinds of risks this year. Anyway, giving Holtzclaw some time backing up Pierce at MLB, and at least the Giants will know by 2009 whether they need to invest in a high pick to replace Pierce, or if Holtzclaw may be able to handle it himself. The New York Giants select MLB Daniel Holtzclaw, Eastern Michigan. |
Well the mock can't be updated anymore because...
1. The text that you have entered is too long (20048 characters). Please shorten it to 20000 characters long. Nice forum we have here. |
Everyone knows the procedure by now, so just delete the rules and leave up the picks.

lol
New thread I guess then? Just copy the list in the first post and we can go from there. |

The Titans select Lydon Murtha OT Nebraska.
He's the kind of tall mobile tackle the Titans go for. He can compete for the swing tackle spot behind Roos and Stewart. |

End of the 4th round is a great place to gamble on a phenomenal athlete whose college career was hampered by injuries. For a team that likes lighter linemen he can be a find. |

Arizona Cardinals select Donald Washington, CB, Ohio State
I like Washington's size and upside. He will be able to play the run well and he also has the athleticism and speed necessary to one day develop into a starting CB. |
The Steelers select, Jason Phillips, ILBer, TCU
|
The San Diego Chargers select Mike Thomas WR, Arizona and Javon Ringer RB, Michigan St.
Running back and wide receiver are the most loaded positions in this draft, and the Chargers are able to pluck possibly the last 2 day 1 caliber players at those positions at the end of round 4. Mike Thomas should be a nice fit as a compliment to the tall receivers Jackson and Floyd, and Javon Ringer is an NFL-ready back that can step in when either or both LT and Sproles leave after 2009. |
