Ending up in the top 3 picks in a year where there are legitimate HOF caliber QBs available is going to be luck more often than it isn't.

Go out there, compete, try to make the playoffs and get hot. All the while you should have your eyes towards the next QB if you don't already have one that's a top 5 guy.

If you plan to fail - you're going to. A lot.

Sure. I don't think you ever plan to fail, but if we were a game away from luck or rgIII, I would have gladly taken a loss.

I don't necessarily agree on the top 5 qb thing as I don't think you have to have one that good to be successful in the league. There are just so many good qbs in the league, to have a top 5 guy, your damn near talking generational type player.

I was the same way. We won a meaningless game against the Jags that year going into the Luck draft, and then got screwed.

Alex Smith is a Moneyball QB. I like it.

reerunation.

I really like your word choice there. The Chiefs are becoming the new Raiders, and the Fade are going into oblivion where a season in the future the NFL won't realize they are a member and will forget to schedule them. I could see this happening.

How many championships has Billy Bean brought to Oakland?

The Missing Ingredient; we need it.

Where are you getting this failed homegrown stuff?

Many of them have said in the past that they would rather keep spending a 1st round pick on QBs until they get it right than get a retread.

Yeah, with the way the Chiefs have been drafting and failing in the early rounds, I can see your point.

But I can also see how you are kind of just a troll.

I'm not assuming that. I am commenting on the fact that you and the others think that only a "homegrown" QB is acceptable and that we should never get a QB any other way.

Lol, kind of like that.

I guess you would draft a Tyson Jackson over an Andrew Luck, wouldn't you? You defensive lineman loving troll****** you!

Haven't we done the "other way" long enough? JFC.:shake:

What are you bringing to the table with this post?

there was no Andrew Luck in that draft. Unless you want to rip them for not taking Mark Sanchez in that draft. EFF THAT.

The chiefs wouldn't pass on Andrew Luck though.
