The ball would have had to have been at Bowe's feet for 52 to have been in a spot to catch it. Maybe if he leads him more and throws it lower 52 could have gotten to it, but I doubt it.
It was a high throw that didn't have to be that high. |

IIRC, I don't think he could have led him much because of a safety there. But it's a high throw.

I think he threw it behind Bowe because if he led him he would have hit the overhead camera.
Someone with the pinpoint accuracy of Alex Smith doesn't Cassel a ball. |
That ball should have been caught by Bowe, but yet here Bowe is again doing what he has done his entire career: drop the ball in crucial moments.
Alex played his best game of the season on Sunday and his receivers let him down. The Avery pass was a perfect deep pass. That pass to Bowe hit his hands. And goddamnit I love Charles, but JFC that screen that he dropped at the 5 yard line was HUGE. That was a TD if he catches that. Our receivers catch the balls the balls that they should have and Alex Smith has 3 TD's, 300 passing yards and a possible win. This game was on our receivers ****ing it all up, not Alex. |
