You know there is this little thing called free agency. We can get a vet QB.

Yes and I would feel a lot better about these two QBs if we signed a good vet to mentor.

My bet is the kid from Buffalo, I think his name is Willy. Hopefully Dick Curl can come back so I get to hear Madden talk about Dick Curl playing with his Willy on the sideline.

LMAO

I agree. Maybe someone like Garcia?

If the price is right, sure.

Sounds like someone is suggesting that we bring somebody in for shower and rope time with the young guys... ROFL

He's not long term solution but the chiefs haven't had a bonafide starting nfl qb like garcia since green was knocked out in the season opener in 2006. They would have won at least 6 games last year with garcia. Let him get beat up and stabilize things and let sanchez sit back and learn the right way

I'm actually not totally against that...surprisingly. NOT a Garcia "fan", but adequate while you nurse an untested QB is not a horrible idea. That said, won't happen.

Ok. Here it comes......In New England......

In new england the patriots were awful when parcells took over 2-14. They drafted bledsoe but they also brought in journeyman scott secules. Secules got the crap kicked out of him early as bledsoe got his feet wet slowly.

Even if its thigpen at first don't let the rookies confidence and body get destroyed early

What would be good about winning 6 games?

Its progress from 2 and it gives time for other pieces to fall into place while the rookie sits a bit and learns

To be clear. I'd only want them to do this if they draft who they feel is a legit future qb star

He means last year.

6 last year would have meant jack shit.

Once we get our QB in this draft, however, my stance will change on this.

Oh. Well I agree. It wouldn't be good to bring in a garcia to be a huard just to win 6. When I said the 6 I meant to say that's how much a real qb could have made last year.

So no don't sign him to be THE qb. Just as a mentor and stop gap. A "crash davis" from bull durham type. And sanchez can be "Nuke".

You wouldn't have thread after thread about how NOBODY picks a cover linebacker #3?

It looks to me like there are just as many threads touting Curry as there are knocking him, as if that has anything to do with anything. I don't care to pick up some old has been QB just to win a few more games.

That isnt the purpose though. Garcia is a probowl QB, he would be brought in to mentor a new QB, one that came out as a junior. I am not a Garcia fan either but he would be great in this scenario. If we dont draft one of these two QBs, then I wouldnt want Garcia.
No matter what we do, I think we are going to win a few more games.
