I had an idea to cut out of work early and surprise my kid by taking him to Staples Center to watch the game tonight, and then I saw the prices. Yeah, no.

Kings season lies in the balance here.

Quick hasn't been his normal self, but he hasn't had much help in front of him either.

Regehr should get an assist on the Nieto goal for essentially pinning his own goalie. And there's been a lot of turnovers in the zone as well.

Hopefully Kopitar gets hot this period. The Sharks have shut him down. And Gaborik's goal was pretty damned sweet.

Kings survived a very shaky third period, including a mind-glowingly stupid penalty taken by Stoll with 2 minutes left.

Headed to OT...not liking my chances but there's still hope.

I'm really surprised about the Kings. I really expected them to turn it up in the playoffs. I suspect I will not be winning our bracket competition. :sulk:
