It's risky as all hell, man. It's gonna be white-knuckle, to be sure.

The reality is here for a group of folks that were all "Anyone but Brown!!" pretty much all season. Well - we'll see how things go.

Lots of people hated both OT's and they're probably both gone.

I was in the camp of just paying him reluctantly and being done with it. So I haven't really put a ton of thought into what we do if we aren't doing that.

I'd add Isaiah Wynn into that. Shown some flashes in NE but has been up and down with some injuries.

Probably come fairly cheap and can play both LT and RT.

Can Wynn be my Remmers?

Let's say it ends up being Taylor, Niang, Harrison and Wynn fighting for the job(s) this summer. Surely something halfway decent comes out of that, right?

Though Wynn doesn't cover the "Wants to find a long-term solution at LT this season" Tweet. Because I doubt he wants to sign long-term coming off that platform year.

Relying on the draft to get a LT when you have the 31st pick is......uh.....

I can't imagine how poorly negotiations have went thus far that the Chiefs have effectively thrown their hands up and told him to leave the organization when there'd still be about 4 months of negotiation period even after a non exclusive tag.

Well they're dealing with a dude that literally thinks it's his birth right to be the highest paid LT in the league.

Who said that's what they're doing? You guys need to learn to relax and let things play out.

This is going to be like the Tyreek trade all over again.

Yeah...this.

If they aren't willing to pay 20 on the tag cause they think it's too high....writing is on the wall there.

I guess the upside here is if OBJ walks and we're forced to draft a left tackle, that essentially ensures Chris Jones will be a Chief for life.

So you can pay him what you'd have paid Brown?

Your trade is essentially Tunsil and a comp 3 in 2024 for OBJ and Anton Harrison?

Not sure that's a good deal.

But shit, if you can get him on a palatable 5 year deal in the process - why the hell not? He truly is letter perfect for us. He's still young and his skill set fits our scheme better than OBJ's.

I could probably tolerate that provided that the money works out.

Or OBJ and his agent told the Chiefs that he wouldn't play on the tag at all.
