Best cases are that we see the reverse angle and Rice was not racing, Rice was not driving, and there were no guns (or anything else compromising) removed from the car. Fleeing the scene (which is what seems happened according to the eyewitnesses and reports) is going to be tough to explain, but everyone should be thankful no one was seriously injured. He’s likely going to miss some time, but I doubt he gets released but everyone should be thankful that no one was seriously injured. Until we know more specifics it’s all speculation, but curious he hasn’t turned himself in yet if he was involved. Gotta believe his agent, teammates, and the Chiefs are reaching out and telling him to do the right thing (or at least given him the name of a few good attorneys).

The more I look at those photos and compare them against other photos of RR the more none of them look like RR. Even the face of the dude with the reg rag. RR nose in other photos seems to be much wider than red rag guys.

Given this photo, it seems pretty likely that they all got out on the passenger side because the driver side door wouldn't open.

Yes, but the guy that looks like Rash was the 2nd guy to emerge from the front passenger door.

If it's him, he was driving.

reports are that the cleats in Rice’s car were stolen from a charity even earlier that day…

LMAO

It gets better.

Edit: just checked. It's from a parody twitter account.

Some over reaction on here after seeing what we know so far. Rice is 22 and was driving stupid, or his friends were. They caused a wreck. If you look at the wreck it appears there is no way anyone was seriously injured. He will get some fines and charges, but nothing serious. If he was high or drinking, they won't be able to charge him this far past the wreck. Since he left the scene, it opens him up to some punishment by the NFL, probably 2-4 games. Rice seems to have had a clean record and an event like this should eliminate a poor decision like this one in the future. In the long run, this will slow his roll and was at a time that the distractions would be the least. Glass half full for me, because this could have been so much worse.

I hope ur right

It’s well documented that Rice NEVER wears shoes and pants except on the field. So, that clearly isn’t him. He good!

If you're going to race your friends, do it at 1 am on an empty freeway, not in the late afternoon/early evening with everyone else on the road. This is some grade A stupidity, regardless of what else happens.

Hayneplane 03-31-2024 03:50 PM

Don’t know what to make of this and not going to concern myself too much with it until the situation becomes clearer and the Chiefs front office issue a statement.

My main take for now is a hope that there will be some significant clarity on the repercussions pre draft so that this doesn’t drastically shape how our draft picks play out.

I feel like I've seen this asked before, but you don't actually practice in the field of mental health, right? Because if so, yikes.
