Best cases are that we see the reverse angle and Rice was not racing, Rice was not driving, and there were no guns (or anything else compromising) removed from the car. Fleeing the scene (which is what seems happened according to the eyewitnesses and reports) is going to be tough to explain, but everyone should be thankful no one was seriously injured. He’s likely going to miss some time, but I doubt he gets released but everyone should be thankful that no one was seriously injured. Until we know more specifics it’s all speculation, but curious he hasn’t turned himself in yet if he was involved. Gotta believe his agent, teammates, and the Chiefs are reaching out and telling him to do the right thing (or at least given him the name of a few good attorneys).

The more I look at those photos and compare them against other photos of RR the more none of them look like RR. Even the face of the dude with the reg rag. RR nose in other photos seems to be much wider than red rag guys.

If it's him, he was driving. |
reports are that the cleats in Rice’s car were stolen from a charity even earlier that day…

If you're going to race your friends, do it at 1 am on an empty freeway, not in the late afternoon/early evening with everyone else on the road. This is some grade A stupidity, regardless of what else happens.

Don’t know what to make of this and not going to concern myself too much with it until the situation becomes clearer and the Chiefs front office issue a statement.
My main take for now is a hope that there will be some significant clarity on the repercussions pre draft so that this doesn’t drastically shape how our draft picks play out. |
