His agent is making a statement that Brown got underpaid.

The offer was made before Brown signed his deal.

Clady ****ed himself.

Right on top of it. Beat me to it. And Clady is a ****ing idiot for turning that deal down unless it was just a joke in guaranteed money. Albert would've already had that offer sheet signed if it was offered to him from where I'm sitting.

When Brown signed his deal the Texans only had $3.5 million in cap space maybe he didn't wanna **** his team and took less.

Lets say Albert agrees to a 6yr 58 million dollar contract (that's the amount where I think he will sign) and a couple weeks later, Clady signs for 5yrs 60 million.

Alberts agent isn't gonna have an easy time signing future clients because he got Albert "underpaid".

I agree, Flop. If I'm Albert and they put a carbon copy of Duane Browns deal in front of me to sign, I'm putting ink to paper and throwing a party that night.

Which is it...

And honestly, as a fan I'm ****ing thrilled with it if his back checks out.

Thank you from the rest of the league.

If Albert's back checks out, I predict he gets signed long term and Clady gets franchised.

Clady's agent is a ****ing moron.

Or he (as pest pointed out) recognized that part of the contract wasn't attractive and wanted to push the supply and demand factor of the blindside protector of Peyton "broke neck" Manning.

What are the Broncos gonna do?

Let him walk and let someone else protect Manning?

He KNOWS they will overpay.

No ****ing way.

No player is going to take less, especially the best player in the league at his position, is going to accept a lesser contract to "help" the team.

Business is business.

It's a FLAT cap. There won't be more money available in 2013 than there was in 2012. Plus, the Broncos owe Manning a huge chunk this year AND Clady's having shoulder surgery next week.

Clady ****ed himself. He played chicken and lost.

What I'd do?...or what Clady would?

Clady has Denver by the balls and he knows it. He's gonna be the highest paid LT soon cause of Manning.

The cap is scheduled to rise in two years and do so significantly. Agents now this...maybe the agents want those years to be paid accordingly. If I was an went, that would be part of my pitch.

Not sure why this is so hard for some to see.

Denver doesn't really have options (besides franchising him) outside of paying Clady like Joe Thomas or something between his deal and that of Duane Browns deal.

The Broncos would be absolutely foolish to overpay a guy coming off of shoulder surgery, especially when he's not considered the best at his position in the NFL.

I doubt Elway's that stupid.

I don't think Denver cares. Manning improves LT play dramatically. I'm sure that they think if Clady is asking for too much, they aren't going to lose sleep over it.
