As the TNT guys keep saying, it is live by the 3 or die by the 3 for Dallas. I do want to take issue with what you said about Brunson, he had 31 and was +2. He is a very good player\scorer and can go get his shots.

Very LeBron-like 42-5-8 in a loss for Doncic. Reminds me of some of those 2017-2018 Finals efforts. He was still targeted on just about every possession down the stretch of the game defensively, though. That is something that never happened in LeBron’s career (obviously when he was an elite defender earlier in his career but even now at his age). To win a title, Luka either has to improve that aspect significantly or have a team built up around him that covers up that weakness (for example Curry during the Warriors dynasty). Smart teams will attack though and that’s what GSW will do every chance they get.

Brunson is a good player but if you’re asking him to be the #2 option on a championship contender, you’re not going to be winning too many championships.
