of course it is. This is what almost always happens with back injuries. As unpopular as it might be they really need to just go with Bean so the offense can gel. The will he ....won't he be able to play every other week isn't good for the team. Sit him for sure until he is 100% and if Bean plays well in his absence he becomes the starter.

It's disappointing that Jalon Daniels wasn't there last week against Texas, and disappointing again going forward this Saturday against Central Florida.

He's a dynamic player who is a difference maker.

That said, I feel like we should take care of business this Saturday, and we will continue to do as much in the coming weeks.

Let's all temper our expectations a tad. I'm an old man, and maybe I'm in the minority, but simply having a football team worth talking about, and winning games, is worth a lot to me.

Bean pisses me off.

JD6 will transfer to USC next year.

Not what I want, obviously. But the way things have been going...the pessimist within me sees it playing out as such.

He is one of the most physically gifted individuals we've had in the KU football program in my lifetime. He just hasn't been able to put it all together, and probably never will.

So were we a 3 point favorite with Daniels playing or with bean playing?

Just heard UCF is now favored, but didn't hear the line.

Last I saw it was UCF -1. But that came up after it changed 3 1/2 points in like 20 minutes, so not sure if it went further or not.

I am wondering if he has a similar chronic back issue like I do. Maybe not, but it’s impossible to know with how tight lidded Leipold is about these things.

Random, can be debilitating, and prone to flaring up with excessive bends/twisting. Not at all ideal for a quarterback (I developed Stenosis from it, which is what ended David Wright’s career).

I pulled my back in a basketball game once and it took two seasons of intramural leagues before I was normal again and by normal I mean chronic back pain.

Hopefully they have a good backup.

I agree Gaby!

Austin Booker is a stud.

He might be better than Lonnie Phelps.

Tough to have such a dominant drive to have to settle at 3 pts

Because Bean is a ducking reerun and won’t throw to wide open TEs for first downs.

JFC. It’s ****ing maddening.

Reerun_KC 10-07-2023 02:29 PM

JD in there and it’s 7 easy.

That was a pretty terrible throw on 3rd down. Looked like a pretty bad decision too from who looked open in front of him.
