Giants pulling in a bit of a haul. They've even got a toolbox out of the deal so far.

1. DE Michael Johnson, Georgia Tech
2. DB Sean Smith, Utah
2. WR Louis Murphy, Florida
3. QB Chase "Toolbox" Daniel, Missouri
3. OLB Gerald McRath, Southern Mississippi
4. MLB Daniel Holtzclaw, Eastern Michigan
5. RB Antone Smith, Florida State

I'm opting for a smaller RB with home-run potential.

A 4.3 40, 31 reps, and a 10-2 broad jump? Who is this man!?!?!

I bet the Giants know.

The New York Giants select RB Antone Smith, Florida State.

Had he been invited to the combine he wouldn't have run faster than Peerman. I WIN THE DRAFT!!!1!!!

Defense, defense, defense.

At 144, the Texans draft Mark Parson, CB, Ohio.

The Franchise 04-02-2009 09:30 AM

The Philadelphia Eagles select Darcel McBath, FS, Texas Tech.

The Eagles need to get some depth at safety now that Dawkins left for the Broncos.

The Bears are looking for more meat in the middle.

The Bears select Clinton McDonald-DT-Memphis

The Franchise 04-02-2009 10:13 AM

What position does he play?

Kind of surprised to still see this kid here. With the loss of Cato June and Derrick Brooks, the Bucs have major holes in their LB corps. This kid is an ideal fit for a Cover 2 Will Backer, and was a productive player in a major conference. He should be able to step in quickly and contribute.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers select, Jonathan Casillas, OLB, Wisconsin

That's what happens when you're sitting at work, on the clock, and completely unprepared to pick. You **** up and lose out on a perfect fit for your team.

I considered Casillas for the Redskins, but believe they need more help on their O-line and Vasquez was rated as the 7th best guard in the draft. Vasquez also graded out as a mid 3rd rounder. That was too much to pass on, IMO.

The Cowboys need some more backup help in their secondary. Corner depth is always important.

Dallas Cowboys select Domonique Johnson, CB, Jackson State

Now it's going to take me a minute.

The Franchise 04-02-2009 03:56 PM

The Philadelphia Eagles select Brandon Hughes, CB, Oregon State.

The Eagles need more help in the secondary and they originally wanted Domonique Johnson but the Cowboys suck monkey balls.

Sfeihc 04-02-2009 07:35 PM

The Vikings need some depth at safety after the departure of Darren Sharper. They also need some help on the special teams. They also need some help at corner since they resigned Benny Sapp. With their 5th round pick the Minnesota Vikings select Joe Burnett, CB, UCF.
