Geno Smiths skill set actually translates better to a pro set IMO.
Put the kid in a balanced offense that we could easily field with him at QB and he will put the spotlight on Kansas City and make the guy that drafts him look like a ****ing genius. |

Geno Smith is a system QB. So was RGIII. There's risk that they don't run an NFL system right now. I really don't care -- I think Geno Smith's skill set will make him fit in just fine in an NFL system. |

He's mostly in the shotgun. He's played under center some, but mostly shotgun.

If the Chiefs only win 1 or 2 and get the #1 pick, I sure hope Clark sees this as a golden opportunity to hit reset and start fresh with a new front office.

How many of these stupid mother****ing tweets have actually came true?

I WANT a system quarterback. The pro game is turning into a game for system guys.
I want a QB who is used to having the game go through him. I don't want a QB who has played in a "pro-style" system that uses their ridiculous running game to open up the pass. Because guess what? You will NEVER have a running game like that again. I want a QB who is used to throwing it 30 times a game. That's not even where the game is going in the NFL, it's where it is already. No, he's not as smart as RG3. RG3 is a special, special guy. But Geno smith has all the tools, and this isn't rocket science. You can't be Jamarcus Russel, but you don't have to be Stephen Hawking. It's not like Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are Nobel Laureates. They just know how to play the game. |
