Of course Hooties qb thoughts generally line up with mine anyway but...

Big Huard fan, are ya?

:p

Herm was a draft kind of guy, and all he could pull out of this franchise's ass was 3rd rounder.

Who couldn't beat Chandler Bing for the starting spot.

True, but not the point. I doubt Wilson actually is, either.

This.

Pure posturing to drive the price down, and you can blame Flacco for not only driving Wilson's price up, but for making turds like Smith get ridiculous contracts as well.

It's absolutely a horrible argument.

Who wouldn't trade two of the Chiefs worst first round selections for a Russell Wilson?

Mix and match any two of our first rounders the past 15 years I don't care. Point is, first rounders aren't always home runs or even good players.

I'm surprised you aren't, considering all of his games you scouted as a hobby while he was in college and you were working 80 hours a week

Mother****erJones 06-25-2015 05:37 PM

Ah good god I forgot about Damon Huard lol

Not forgotten. Repressed.

Of course they're not always home runs or even good players.

But if I'm giving up two number one's and $25 million per year, it's not for a guy that averages 200 yards per game, with a running back that averages 1,500 yards per season playing with a lights out defense.

Luck? Sure. Manning in his prime? Sure. Brady? Absolutely.

Wilson? Nope.

All while you were raping chicks and peeing on men

Gee, you'd give up 2 firsts for Brady in his prime AND pay him? By golly!!

Tom Brady, in his first 4 seasons as a starter averaged 225 yards a game, while attempting nearly twice as many passes as Russel Wilson.

The fact is, Wilson is better at this stage in his career than Brady was at the same stage.

He's more efficient, and makes bigger plays.

Hootie 06-25-2015 07:43 PM

I'm convinced some wouldn't have traded for Tom Brady after his 1st SB title even with the benefit of foresight

Apparently 1st round picks produce Aaron Rodgers' like mad

O.city 06-25-2015 07:45 PM

In the end, it's all about value and what you get for said money. Somewhat like a WAR kinda thing.

They paid pennies on the dollar for 100 dollars worth of value. With a new contract, that changes.

Hootie 06-25-2015 07:51 PM

I don't think anyone has ever argued paying a QB less isn't an advantage ... But Russell Wilson's don't grow on trees ... You can't just trade 1 and then go find another 3rd round miracle to lead you to Super Bowls
