So the Chiefs are potentially getting punished for an injury that happened in a Bills-Bengals game that had absolutely nothing to do with them?

That seems fair.

For the record, I don’t think this will happen, but if it did I would totally start buying into the narrative that the league is out to get KC and is actively trying to screw them/sabotage them in any way they can, due to being a team in midwest flyover country.

Again, I don’t really believe there is anyway this happens, but if by some miracle it did . . . . . . . hoo boy

If they are simply going to use chance to determine the outcome, how about they use lottery balls and Bills and Bengals get the number of balls based on their win probability at the time the game was stopped since the NFL loves to advertise all their "advanced analytics" during every commercial break.

No he didn't. Although Allbright didn't specifically mention the Chiefs, just that if any seeding issues occured they'd use a random number generator.

Even if there was a smidge of truth here, I can't imagine Clark Hunt (or any other owner of any team in the playoff hunt in the AFC) would agree to that. It's just.......bad.

Why Not? 01-03-2023 09:25 PM

No, it's really not.

The Bengals and Bills would play each other in the divisional round.

Right. I corrected myself on the post below my original. I could've just edited it, but went the other way.

JustDíqLix 01-03-2023 09:25 PM

So basically the Chiefs either lose on Saturday or the NFL picks one of their wins and makes it a no-contest?

What kind of BS is that?

Graystoke 01-03-2023 09:25 PM

I’m still laughing that KnowMo hopes it will wipe a Chiefs win off the books for Broncos.
KnowMo you dumb ****

KC has won 81.25% of their games, so it’s a 81.25% chance of drawing “No Contest” on a KC victory game. Buffalo had a much stronger chance than 18.75% of losing that game last night. Yet it’s potentially declared No Contest.

JFC read the quote I posted… he’s getting information from Vic Carucci who has covered the Bills for like 100 years.

Explain your basis for doubting a reporter with those credentials.

No. He's getting no information from that guy. He's saying he has no information whatsoever but Vic Carruci said that they have a playoff spot locked up so who knows what the Bills might care about doing and anything was on the table.

I love how you think Scott Zolack is a hard-hitting reporter asking the tough questions. Absolutely classic.

Clearly the Bills are asking for the entire league to postpone games based on that (as per your original post)!

I heard that the seeding will be decided by having three members of each team play a game of Dungeons & Dragons. The treasure chest is defended by a gauntlet of orcs, kobolds, owlbears, gelatinous cubes, a mimic, and a red dragon. Whoever recovers the treasure chest full of gold coins gets the #1 seed.

It kinda sorta sounds like that, doesn't it

Does the NFC get brought into this random seeding BS? Roger will **** this up.

I look forward to the PFF grades on the orcs.
