No. Yours include defensive and special teams scores. ESPN does not track purely offensive points.

(hint: defense, run game, receivers)

If people attribute any of KC's quarterback struggles to these aspects... they are dismissed as excuses. Yet you and others have so easily used the very same to defend other quarterbacks.

So just be honest. If you actually LIKE a quarterback? excuses become legit reasons... if you do not like the quarterback? legit reasons transform into excuses.

You ready to own that, or will you side-step and misdirect in an effort to evade that horrible truth?

Not sure who you are talking about, specifically.

As a whole, I think almost everyone here thinks WR is a major area of concern.

Our run game isn't a problem and the defense has been able to handle (if not outright shut down) most offenses. Elite offenses can't be shut down, they can only be slowed down.

NFL Team Offensive Points per Game (Estimated)

Mine are actuals from espn.

The Chiefs have scored 6 defensive touchdowns and two on ST. This is the most in the NFL.

Take those away, and the Chiefs are averaging just a shade over 20 PPG (generated by the offense).

Put the pipe down and listen to what people are telling you.

You are making a spectacle of yourself.

LMAO

tony almost got it right.

So close!

Hammock Parties 12-04-2013 02:06 PM

We scored 21 against Denver, though.

Nice to see the improvement.

Then perhaps, you are not the hater that others are. There are some here that will make excuses for every QB except their own though.

This board is still talking about Matt Ryan. ROFL

I don't know where 20.8 offensive points per game puts us rankings-wise verse the rest of the NFL, but I'd guess we are probably in the 20-25ish range in terms of offensive points scored.

I just looked and you are right. PUBLIC APOLOGY ISSUED.

I just went to team offensive points sorted at team stats here

http://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/points-per-game

And it matches but you are correct divide 298 by 12 and you get 24.83.

I still think by the end of the season our offense will put up enough points to win if our D can hold teams under 24.

I am giving Alex enough rope to either hang himself with or to use to hang a championship banner with. (I know we don't hang banners in football, but I couldn't think of anything else)

I wasnt happy that we gave as much as we did for Alex and desperately want this team quarterbacked by someone it drafts...but Alex is exceeding my expectations and I'm at the point of "cautiously optimistic" right now.

They said on the radio after the game that Reid had a long talk with Alex during the bye week about how starting NFL quarterbacks have to be able to throw deep to stay starters and ever since ten, he has grown in that area by leaps and bounds.

If Alex plays the way he played against Denver (aside from the pick on the first drive), I have little issue with him sticking around awhile.

I genuinely hope that's the case because I'd love to have an offseason leading up to the draft where I don't have to pin my hopes on us drafting the right quarterback.
