Damn Motte owned those guys. That was very pleasant to see.

First pitch cutters to Hart and Weeks was brilliant.

Neither one of them was in the AB once Motte got that first 'offspeed' pitch thrown for a strike.

Like I've said - if he never throws that cutter for a single strike, it's still worth throwing 20% of the time. Weeks and Hart are the kind of guys that can really hurt Motte and he just absolutely mowed through them in large part due to what amounts to a below average cutter.

Nice comeback, thanks to Axford for not being able to find the strike zone.

Hopefully this sparks something with this group. They need a 7 game run or something.

He doesnt need to have a fantastic cutter. Be nice but not neccessary. He just needs them to not sit on that fastball every single pitch.
