$96M in total revenue in its first full year. So almost $80M going directly towards bringing a team to KS. That number will likely only go up, and will add up quickly over the next 6 years.

Maybe they settle for just the Royals, but KS is going to have a lot of pull

96 million is the sportsbooks' combined gross revenue and that is taxed at 10 percent, so your 96 million is actually 9.6 million. and 80 percent of that is 7.68 million.

News accounts say it was less than 7.68.

Alright guess I never thought of it that way.

It never occurred to you to determine location from looking at a map vs how long it takes you to drive there in a car?

One thing about the downtown ideas is it is centrally located. It is a ****ing bitch to get all the way to the stadium complex from West Shawnee just like it would be miserable for someone from Blue Springs to make it to The Legends.

I assumed it was in the same part since it's pretty close to me...oh well.

Either way the point I was making is I don't even know where they'd build a stadium in Independence.

Exactly what I've thought for a bit. This was a way for them to get their nice new stadium - and potential Super Bowl - in KC without going "Look, we like Arrowhead but it's old. We can't really do anything to do it other than maintain it. We want a new stadium."

But why not just say that? I think most people would shrug their shoulders and say ok and vote yes.

But maybe I am wrong.

Because they don't want to deal with all the people bitching that they love Arrowhead. You know all the "save the K" people that literally think voting no is going to save the K?

It would be 100 times worse with Arrowhead.

This team deserves better than to be associated with that disgusting state.

For this reason alone, I now really, really hope they move to Kansas. You Missouri or nothing dipsticks are just ridiculous.

The team already is associated with that state. The state name is in the team name, for God's sake.

Sherman's wife is on Facebook talking about moving to KS so there's that

And in the future when a dumbass opposing fan makes a Wizard of Oz reference, at least they'll reside in the correct state for it.
