Yep, he was pretty much terrible today.

Yeah, he's gone.
Shitty night for Chiefs fans. |

Brett should get executive of the year if the 49ers agreed to take Frank Clark for a 2027 conditional tube of socks after Dee Ford.
|
It has a .0000000001% chance of happening but please let the 49ers trade for Clark. LMAO

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports the Chiefs are expected to trade or release DE Frank Clark. Clark's $26.3 million cap hit in 2022 has his status with the Chiefs in doubt. Kansas City could restructure Clark's deal or ask for a pay cut, but it's likely they move on from the 28-year-old, who has declining sack totals despite making the Pro Bowl the last three seasons. Releasing Clark outright isn't an option since it would leave $13.6 million in dead money. The Chiefs can save $19.5 million with $6.8 million in dead money if they designate Clark a post-June cut. |
I still say they're waiting to see what drops in FA and the draft before they completely cut ties with him. He could be the fourth backup plan if nothing goes their way and aren't able to upgrade the position.

I will laugh my ass off all the way to San Francisco if those idiots give us a 4th or better for Clark.
Please do it LMAO |

On one hand we've got crap. On the other we've got crap with a pricetag in the 20s of millions. Given the choice, I'll take the crap. |
Can we just make the move already? What’s taking so long? I doubt anyone is clamoring to trade for this dude.

It wasn’t the coaching changes or the fresh new scheme or the dogshit players like Scandrick getting cut throughout the secondary or even the leadership contributions of any of the additions like Suggs!
Nope. It was all Frank Clark and his culture change! |

Remember his rehab tour on the morning shows when he was skirting responsibility for ANYTHING? Just getting rid of dudes like that did more than Clark’s schtick. |
The thread better be “Frank Clark ****ing cut” when it happens.

I made a post about it a couple months ago. Basically we allowed 5+ yards without him and 4.5 when he played. Frank Clark really wasn't a factor in either pass rush or rush defense. The run defense with him but not Pennel was the same as the 2018 defense. |
Does offseason Frank Clark suck too?
|
49ers want him, do it Varch

I mean the only reasons that they would be waiting is if they’re going to do a restructure or a trade.

If we got Christian Clark cheap and he actually helps our D line that will moot Frank Clark sucks or negate that he sucks because "if" his brother is any good then we kinda got too suck it up and if his brother plays well then it will be worth having Frank Clark but hope he is on the bench more than not. Let his brother fill a need if he is any good. I'd still be on the looks for a DT.

Frank Clark has the highest workout bonus of any player in the league and is a no show for this week’s OTA’s.
Yes they are voluntary, but the Chiefs had 90%+ participation.

All 32 teams are now permitted to conduct their offseason workout programs. While the program is optional, many players around the league have financial incentive in the form of a workout bonus.

None more so than Chiefs DE Frank Clark, who has a league-high $1.25M workout bonus.
— Field Yates (@FieldYates) April 18, 2022
 |
He really pissed away $1.25M by not showing up?!?
|
Good. **** paying that bum anything extra.
|
Shoot, Frank could just show up and say he's sick and still make his money. This is really strange for a guy who's never going to make more than he's making now. Sheesh...

He's done. He doesn't care. This defense is going to be trash. We have no pash rush and too many rookies to be good.

Translation: this is a contract year and if you want to make decent money on your next team in 2023 you best play your ass off this year.

New Chiefs DL coach Joe Cullen said he's expecting career seasons from Chris Jones and Frank Clark. Either way, if the guy couldn't bother showing up for an extra $1.25 million, he obviously has way too much money or just doesn't care. Probably both. |

As for workout bonuses, the team has to carry a workout bonus per roster slot and they adjust it up or down as earned/not earned (and dependent on the actual value) during TC for a cumulative charge against the cap |

And this Tweet is just peak offseason bullshit. I love Chris Jones but Aaron Donald is still in the league. |
Wait - he didn’t show up to OTAs?!?
Thank god we gave this guy an additional $8 million instead of just cutting his ass loose like we should have. What a worthless puddle of ****. |

I remember reading how he got in front of the team halfway into the Super Bowl year and said he was going to go on a tear the rest of the year. From that point, he did exactly that. Reporting at the time was that he was healthy. Who knows?…maybe he’s healthy now and is about to have a big year. Sure would be nice to see because the Frank Clark from the second half on paired with GK is a really good set of ends. Especially with CJ killing IOLs.
Hearing about him not being at voluntary practices is definitely concerning. |
**** Frank Clark. I can't believe we didn't just let him go
