made a batch, and portioned several servings:

Whole wheat pasta
olive oil
chicken
frozen peas
black pepper

I have decided I really just don't like peas.

Ahh, the cheat day. I've progressed a bit. Instead of pizza, or a burger, or some other form of unhealthiness, tonight the missus and I will be enjoying a T-Bone steak, baked potato, and sauteed asparagus. Oh my!

I ran today, I did a lot of spring cleaning type scrubbing around this house, so even though it's my off day from the gym I've definitely burned some calories and put myself in a position to enjoy this tasty treat. I haven't had a steak outside of sirloin in weeks.

I think it is a little more difficult than you give it credit for being. I think you would be better at it than most, based on what you have told me. A lot of guys don't do HIIT, and they don't do circuit training. So, the P-90X program would totally kick their butts.

I've done it and much prefer my own workouts. I just get more out of them.

Size is generally 11-12 reps, overall fitness 7-8, strength 3-5. Obviously, if you're a beginner, it doesn't really matter what rep ranges you use because they'll all make you larger.

And I get it that you're supposed to push yourself and add reps and weight, but at some point, won't that require a gym, or at least a significant investment in equipment? Plus, you can't just "add reps" and make it effective. This is especially true with core exercises. 15 reps is about the maximum number of reps you can do with any given weight for it to have a good effect. And sadly, Ab Ripper X's biggest failing is that it doesn't do any core stability stuff, which is the main function of your core, so that pretty much blows :(

Today is legs/lower back/abs...... (boo). I don't really feel like doing legs today. I am trying to get over it because I don't ever feel like working my legs.

I have had a protein shake, cup of coffee, turkey/chicken/cheese sandwich, and a bowl of chili.

Figured I would come in here to get fired up about the leg workout..... yeah.... nothin.

I am sure that once I actually start doing my squats, I will start getting pumped......

I've got to take my son to an art therapy class today that lasts an hour after I get off work. Threw in my running clothes, and I'm going to knock out 6 miles while he's in the art class. It's been a long time since I've run any distance, so it could be interesting.

Wow I could go on about the reps thing but I will just say if you want to build do 5-10 starting with the 10 then increasing your weight and move down.

I am really here just to ask you about that protein you get. I was about to order the one I love but you keep raving about that other one so I will give it a shot.

Thanks

I kicked around on a piece of ground in my home town, for about an hour this morning. Breakfast was pancakes with real butter, and a couple of dollups of pure maple syrup, light amber of course. Snacks will be dehydrated blueberries and/or dehydrated apricots. Lots of water, no soda be it diet or sugared.

Hormel makes these bowl things and if you get the chicken and mashed potatos it says it is 200 calories. not bad

I've had those. They're really not bad.

Yeah, it's sometimes cheaper at the gym, too. Just have to watch the sales and stuff.
