Wow, this story has really gotten legs. They had it on the 6 pm local Chicago sports broadcast yesterday. Of course they had it all wrong like most takes, but they did cover the story.

Yep.

It's time to turn up the heat on Pioli.

Everybody hates Yankee fans too and you think they care?

Let them hate us. Let them call us monsters.

Get rid of Pioli and let's win a championship.

**** em all.

Hey, they say no pub is bad pub. Just go with it.

All the complaints about not getting any national attention... KC is not that space people fly over to get from LA to NY anymore. We're on the map ;)

I know it would be near impossible, but it seems like some sort of unified show of displeasure at the game would make a bigger statement against this crap.

Of course the absolute best statement would be if the stadium were completely empty, but wouldn't it be awkward if everyone attending sat through the entire game in dead silence? If nobody dressed in red? If everyone had a piece of Chiefs colored duct tape over their mouths. I bet that would get the point across pretty quick. I hope there's some sort of response from our fans at the game.

Matt Lauer just did a bit about it on the Today show scolding the fans and quoting Winston. Like a lot of these media asshats, he was way off base.

Okay, so in the endzone, field level, where I was sitting, there was a distinct cheer and excitement when Cassel laid back down. I do not believe that anyone wished ill on Cassel, but the mounting frustration in hoping he would be replaced just got the best of everyone. It seemed like there was like a reactionary cheer, then a quiet like everyone felt the guilt, then applause when he got up and walked off. It was obvious to me and I was really disappointed in that outburst. Just being honest. But I also have to admit that I had that same growing frustration and when he stayed down, I felt that anticipation. The reality is it seems like the extremes are being represented, but I don't believe that anyone would wish that Cassel would be injured, just that it seemed without some kind of injury, they were going to stay with him regardless.

It was a pretty bizarre experience for me and my daughter. I don't think either the fans or Winston were right. But in the fans' defense, they did cheer him getting up and it I haven't heard any of the media talk about that part of it.

I don't think that Winston has had enough time and exposure to these rediculously loyal fans that have remained through the rough to address us. I take issue with that. If he wanted to say something, he should have given it a couple of days to better choose his words. None of it set well with me.

This. Bingo. Nailed it.

I was sitting near that end zone as well and this is exactly how I saw it play out. The group of people who cheered when Cassel stayed down were the same ones who tried to start a "Quinn" chant earlier in the game.

Was this stated on the air or something? That's concrete proof of what is to me a fireable offense.

I'm pretty sure I was the first to tweet him that KCTV5 video, but I could be wrong.

He was the best guy to try to reach, SVP has always been the most reasonable of the radio guys.

Well it got the attention away from the banner didn't it? Color Pioli satisfied, mission accomplished.

That's a pretty cool idea - a 'brown out' or something. Nobody in the stands where's red.

Put that on a banner - "Brown out Arrowhead" and try to get some airwaves behind it.

Heh, not trying to grab credit or something. I just got a response from him admitting he hadn't watched the video and I reported that here. Figured that's what he was referring to.

Either way, I hope more of these guys take time to find out what actually happened.

People won't do it. It'll screw up their game day experience. Seriously, I can't imagine going to a Chiefs game without all my gear.

Rather, people might do the paper sack on the head bit...oldy but a goodie.

Oh hell, I don't know nearly enough about Twitter to know if I actually even put it on his wall, he was just the first guy I went to when I saw all this crap going down and as soon as I saw the video. The credit's all yours, hoss - ain't no thing.
