He can say that, but Layups and dunks were about all he hit last year. 38% from the floor was one of the worse percentages in decades at KU and he shot 66% from the line to barely edge out Traylor for last on team (which shot 73%, higher if you take his attempts out). His shooting is the issue not his finishing. Hope it comes alive this year

I don't disagree with you at all. In 14 he hit some big shots and made teams respect us from the outside. In 15 every shot to turn or maintain momentum, every shot at the end of a shot clock or every shot in an important possession at the end went CLANG.
But he also got several good looks that he biffed in the lane. Even more that he made some dumb ass wild pass that went out of bounds or completely killed the flow of the offense.

Perry Ellis is the softest 4-man in the NCAA.

There was a stretch in the conference that he played pretty tough. And it's pretty much the reason we won the conference. Yep. I said it. We won the conference because Perry played tough for a stretch of games.
Then he got hurt and it went to ****.
Hopefully he comes back remembering that good things happen when he hustles and plays physical. If not, I really hope we don't need his offense and can put in someone who will play hard nosed.
Really sucks that all that talent ended up in such a soft player.
I do feel for him though. It must be tough to play a way that doesn't fit what you're comfortable doing.
