Here's something from an hour ago. Guess a team source said we're still in on Thomas.

WOOT!!!!

Sassy Squatch 09-24-2018 03:32 PM

Says it would be quite difficult to do, so we're probably far apart on compensation.

They were in on tyrann mathieu. That’s what post draft? Or before? Either way they’ve known about the issue. If there’s a deal to be made I would expect them to be aggressive. Veach has been so far. I don’t know the reality of some of the ET things. What other than money is his motivation. Didn’t he contemplate retiring when he broke his leg? Maybe there’s some diva concerns there but they are close with Seattle’s FO and if there’s interest I think they can sort through all the contract stuff. Getting buried in another bad contract for an older player is a legit concern but well worth the risk for an All Pro. Could it be thrown out there for motivation for Berry? I don’t know I tend to take them at their word and they are being super careful his other heal doesn’t pop. Can’t blame them. But S is the sore spot on D and he’s the hot name out there.

For me it’s just be Eagles like aggressive like how they were with the Miami RB and even being interested in calling on potential McCoy availability. Look for a matchup player on D who can cover some ground or another rusher to rotate Just be aggressive on inquiring on possible moves is all you can hope for just might need to be patient.

What's next? Tooth Aches?

His heel hurts BECAUSE HE HAD CANCER. That's what chemo does!

Eric Berry without cancer has one ACL.

Would love to see Berry and Ford back for Jacksonville.

If Thomas is there with them, then well.... :)

RunKC 09-24-2018 03:47 PM

We were in on Earl Thomas in August? Yeah we’re going after this guy hard.

I think there’s more of a chance than not that this guy is a Chief.

It makes sense if you can make the numbers work. If we get Berry and Thomas healthy and productive by the playoffs you have a real chance to make it to the Super Bowl. This year.

Sassy Squatch 09-24-2018 03:51 PM

Yeah, we're sitting at 3-0 and Thomas is rapidly becoming a distraction off the field. No way we should be the team that moves.

kgrund 09-24-2018 03:53 PM

With Berry's lead weight of a contract, I would hate this move. Don't expend draft capital and money and yet another high priced safety. I understand our options this year are limited, but the picks and cap space could be far better used in other areas on the D. Can not afford to have $20-25 million tied up in safeties IMO.

The Franchise 09-24-2018 03:54 PM

2018 2nd round pick
2019 3rd round pick

Sign Thomas to a 4 year extension. Mid level cap hit in 2019. Top 5 cap hit in 2020. Top 10 cap hit in 2021.

O.city 09-24-2018 03:55 PM

**** it. Lets do it.

See what happesn.
