But for whatever reason his talent is just not showing itself consistently at the major league level. We need to throw him in on any deal for middle relief and if Mo doesnt make a deal DFA him. We need his roster spot. Give it to Robinson. He's got speed and is batting .280 as a pinch hitter off the bench.

I would agree we need another right handed option off the bench. I'm not particularly sold on Descalso as our only back up at short. If you trade or DFA Greene, why not add Ryan Jackson to the 40 man (why Kosma is on there is beyond reason)? His bat has come around (.275 with 8 hrs) and he is generally considered to be a plus glove. I know they wanted to give him a full season at Memphis, but it is worth considering.

Good to win 3 straight over the Dodgers, nice to score some runs for a change.

[ESPN Big Market Knobslob]Somehow the Cardinals managed to beat the mighty Dodgers two straight games even after they acquired Hanley Ramirez[/ESPN Big Market Knobslob]

"Holliday’s presence has been felt mostly in the last month when he’s had a bat in his hands. His 50th career homer at new Busch Stadium was part of a two-hit day that raised his average to .319. Over his last 33 games, he is 52 for 124 (.419)."

He's been red hot. Freese is getting there as well.

Good God, I guess. Man, what the hell has happened to Lynn? :spock:

Holliday's dinger was one of the longest I've ever seen at Wrigley.

Did it land in the street or hit one of the buildings?

Would have been a nice day for it, too. It's actually fairly pleasant up here for a change.
