ROFL

32 teams would have taken JaMarcus Russell with their 1st round pick.

There's just precious little data out there that says Sean Smith is any good, other than "former second round pick, height-weight-speed."

Those players are always going to find a new team in FA. It doesn't make them any good.

Shit, Dunta Robinson got huge money from Atlanta, and he sucked.

There were also 3 teams bidding for Cassel, so.....

And he went with the blockbuster one year, $4 million deal.

Shit, there were like 3 teams bidding for Cassel in 2009.

Considering his age and the season he just had, I'd say he did pretty well for himself.

Just saw this. LMAO

Basically the #1 thing Miami fans say about him is that he is a big pussy.

Can't WAIT to bump posts in 8 months.

Clay, so what you are telling me is we have Alex Cassel and Stanford Smith?

Messier 03-15-2013 12:53 AM

Who were the other two teams? I remember hearing something about Tampa Bay, but were they really bidding?

To be honest, I don't think it matters what deal he took. He's been payed pretty well over the last 4 years.

He's right; pretty outstanding counter-punch.

Flowers can deal with Decker, who's a technician as a route-runner but isn't physically overpowering. Smith would be a nice counter to Thomas in that he's one of the few guys in the league with the size to match up with him who also has the athleticism to hang with him. Robinson is a great matchup for Welker in that he's physical enough to knock him off routes and spend the day beating him up if necessary (Abdullah then plays FS).

I hadn't looked at it in terms of pure matchups, but the Chiefs secondary actually would match up pretty well vs. the Broncos WRs.

I think this is pure garbage.

Dunta Robinson isn't even playing nickel here.

Sean Smith gets TOASTED by guys like Demaryius Thomas + Peyton Manning.

We'll be lucky to hold the Broncos under 30 this year if Sean Smith is a starting CB.

Basically, yeah.

Alex Smith fan get your ass in here and accept my wager. You think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread then man up.

Messier 03-15-2013 12:59 AM

Sean Smith is a really solid #2 CB. There were some bigger name FA CBs that are a several years older and on their way down.

I'm glad to have Smith, instead of DRC, or the other, going on their third or fourth team, CBs.

I provided outside evidence and you wanted more. Next I provided what you asked and that was inside evidence. If you're asking me about the opinions of 32 teams general managers opinions of SS then I am afraid I can't do that.
