His shooting is the issue not his finishing. Hope it comes alive this year

I think he's going to be much better, at least finishing at the rim. Finishing is sometimes a skill. Alot of it is not just overpowering your opponent, it's a craft you have to hone. Runners, floaters, hanging in the air, and contorting your body get the shot off through defense. He showed HE CAN do it, and was literally 200% better in S Korea at the WUGs. It looked like night and day. The international game is also more physical, so I think he will be ready to have a big year. I think it kind of snowballed on him last year and he got frustrated and started pressing.

I'd love to get excited about the WUG performance, but most of those games were against less athletic DII talent and the rare DI talent was mid-major.

I disagree. There was about 4-5 of those teams teams that would be Top 25 teams. Those guys are on average, 3 years older than the KU players. Athleticism might have been a little weaker, but very skilled squads. Reminded me of alot of Iowa State like teams yet very physical. I mean, the USA sent a college All-Star squad to the WUG's last time and got NINTH. NINTH.

Didn't Germany's best player play for Evansville in the MO Valley?

Prison Bitch 07-31-2015 11:22 AM

If KU is a consensus top-5 pick this year and we struggled with Germany, Russia, Serbia and to an extent Brazil.....it stands to reason most of them would be ranked teams here. Germany a no doubt top-10 team.

Oh Markieff...

“One thing for sure, I am not going to be there,” Morris told Inquirer reporter Keith Pompey. “If you want to put that out there, you can put that out. I don’t give a ****. I am not going to be there at all. That’s just what it is.”

He's talking about playing in Phoenix this season.

That boy real dumb. Always has been real dumb.

He negotiated a cheaper contract to play alongside Marcus. They traded him without consulting or telling either ahead of time. I get it.

By the way, he went on to say:

"I've got to show up. No question." Markieff told the paper. "You can't do that. I will be a professional. Don't get me wrong. But it won't get that far. ... I'm going to be out before then. Should be."

"I'm a grown man," Morris told the paper. "I can stand on my own. I play on my own. It's just the disrespect side. What we did for the Suns, the pay cuts we took and for them to trade me without consent is what made me more disappointed and is what made me more upset."

Markieff should know that the NBA is a business and players can be traded at any time. It was his fault for taking less money, especially for a team that has been churning over players constantly for the last 2 years. In real life we don't get everything exactly as we want it.

BWillie 08-12-2015 09:25 AM

Poor guy, can't play basketball and make millions with his brother. Why can't everybody do that?

Both sides are to blame. Can't expect to play on the same team as your brother your entire life, but the Suns should have been more transparent with the situation.

O.city 08-12-2015 09:45 AM

So us Diallo going to get cleared or what?

That's ridiculous. You make deals I good faith with your boss. If they turn around and **** you for it, you have every right to be pissed.

He took less money to stay a part of Phoenix with his brother. If they turn and say "sucker! Your fault for taking less money!" The. Why the **** should he show an ounce of loyalty or respect to that organization?
