They can get a punter in the 6th round. Plus it's a punter, who gives a ****.

Yep. First they leak about the trade. They see a general negative reaction, then start in with the "Peterrs demanded a trade months ago", followed up with a dose of "I hear absolutely nobody was willing to even give a 5th rounder for him."

Guessing they assumed he'd rubbed enough of the fan base the wrong way that this wouldn't get a negative reaction so now they must make sure everyone think's he's a pile of shit they had no choice to get rid of.

Not getting their first changes everything.

His reputation must be total shit.

gblowfish 02-23-2018 04:09 PM

I'll bet the Rams keep their #1 pick, and we'll probably get a #3 and #5 this year, and a #2 or #3 next year. I could live with that IF we're able to sign a free agent corner this year to fill Peters spot.

Why are people talking about comp picks for Peters? We traded him.

Comps came out today, we got one for Foles.

This thread just happens to be where everyone is talking about everything.

kcpasco 02-23-2018 04:09 PM

Well this sucks. I was feeling confident about our secondary being top of the league next year. Better have gotten a 1st or fat Andy can **** right off.

OK, when they don't resign Colquitt. Better?

We won’t need a punter. Sign some UDFA schmoe just in case Mahomes gets hurt, but don’t waste a pick there.

It definitely would, but wouldnt it also call into question why it was so damn hard to trade the guy, and get so little?

This thing is fast becoming as bad as any DC argument, with neither side willing to look at the other potential answers

And yet Gaines still lives.

I personally had no issue with anything Peter's did since he's been here. I don't like the needless penalties when he loses his cool but I figured that would calm down with experience. He must have really done something behind the scenes for this to make sense to Chiefs' management. Or they are complete idiots.

Hmmm, so just let him play his contract out and take the comp pick like they do in baseball so often? What is the going comp rate for a Pro Bowl starter at a value position?

Initial report, Browns had no interest.
