There's always next year...

This secondary needs a playmaker. Berry is still a question mark. Earl would come in and immediately make an impact. Then Berry could come in and be the yang to Earl’s yin.

Sign Thomas to a 4 year extension. Mid level cap hit in 2019. Top 5 cap hit in 2020. Top 10 cap hit in 2021.

I bet Veach is arguing what we are arguing in this very thread. I don’t think he wants to part with a 1st if he doesn’t have to.

I think there’s more of a chance than not that this guy is a Chief.

That's the spirit!!!

They won't move the 1st after not having one this year.

I actually think it's really dumb for the Seahawks to not take one of the 2nds we have.

Earl Thomas currently has 3 INTs in 3 games.

The entire Chiefs defense has 1 INT in 3 games.

While the corners are playing well, it’s players like Murray that are complete dog shit on this defense

Sorry but Seattle won't trade him to the Chiefs without a 1st pick. They could get a much better pick or picks from the Cowgirls or many other teams that will finish lower than KC this year. Also, Thomas is well loved here in the NW by the fans as well as their coach. If they deal him, they will do it for the best picks possible and to somewhere that Thomas wants to play like the Cowgirls.

O.city 09-24-2018 04:02 PM

If the Cowboys were willing to move a first, they'd have done it by now.

CupidStunt 09-24-2018 04:02 PM

I don't see this happening because of the cap numbers alone, but if they can make it work, it's hard not to get excited.

I think the D will still be bad, but if Berry comes back we would literally go from the worst safety play in the league to the best overnight. That's quite insane. Sorensen can help in nickel and dime. They'd make enough plays to get a few more stops per game, and that's all we need with this offense.

I still can't see it. The numbers, the compensation, does ET really crave the Cowboys, his home team, or is the $ more important? But I didn't see Mack getting traded either. WTF...

Why wouldn't he want to play in KC? They offer him an infinitely better chance to win a ring in the next couple of years than that train wreck in Dallas.

At the rate their season is going now, their 2nd wouldn't be too far off from our 1st next year...

They rebuffed Dallas’s offer of a 2nd. They won’t get a first. And I sure as shit am not giving up a 1. One of the 2s? Sure. It’ll be a late second at that whether it’s KCs or the Rams pick. Not to mention the 2nd rounders haven’t produced shit the last two drafts

Sassy Squatch 09-24-2018 04:04 PM

Veach has shown if anything he'll go out and get the players he really wants, even if its at a bit of an unreasonable price. We've been sniffing around since August. As long as its within reason, this deal is getting done. That's the way it should be.
