I hope he enjoys his money because this whole situation has done nothing but sour my opinion of him.

The most probable explanation isn't that he's lazy or a pansy, it's that the injury was mishandled and he should have just had the surgery. Houston's knee injuries were mishandled in exactly the same way.

The same way many COWARDS say it online.

It's also possible he is prolonging that as much as possible, had he had his other achillies unattached the same offseason as the other he might be done for good.

This way he prolongs this and probably gets another year or 2 of pay. They can't make him get surgery.

Think about having a coworker that hangs around the office every once in a while, but hasn’t done but 10 minutes of work the last 2 years while consuming a large amount of resources that could be used to increase productivity.

The worst part is other people saying “just wait until he comes back, things will really improve!” all while you and your coworkers have fought and clawed their way to the being the best company in the region.

This situation is straight-up ****ed. Period.

Sounds like Sammy isn’t anywhere close to 100%. I would just have him in there for critical plays like 3rd/4th down and Red Zone plays. Let him rest on all other plays.

Mecca 01-12-2019 10:49 AM

Personally I think this is how today should have gone...

Veach to Berry...are you a go today?

Berry..I don't think so still bothering me.

Veach, alright man if you can't suit up for the most important playoff run in this teams history I think you should go pack up your locker cause we're done with you as an organization.

King_Chief_Fan 01-12-2019 10:50 AM

Lucas time
We need to wish Berry well and put him on IR for the rest of his contract

Yep. I find it hard to believe the rest of the team is ok with this.

jjjayb 01-12-2019 10:52 AM

If it's only a pain issue, can't they just give him something for the pain? Guys have played in this league with broken bones.

Houston was told by dr Andrews he was able to play. The chiefs wanted him to have surgery once the season was over and it was determined there was a problem

I’m not sure how the chiefs can force these guys to have surgery

dannybcaitlyn 01-12-2019 10:55 AM

IF we got to the Super Bowl does Berry play? Being back home in front of his home crowd, family and such in Georgia! I’m guessing Injections don’t work for his condition.

Most folks figured "Well, they are saving him for the playoffs" and I get that. Unfortunately, it isn't the case.

I said back in late September (or maybe October) that I would highly doubt that Berry ever saw the field again - and I was wrong. He DID make a couple of appearances but didn't do much other than yell at teammates (with good cause).

As much as I hate to say it - Berry is done.
