Jealousy is a factor. Support of underdogs is a factor. Being tired of the same people and faces is also a factor. It's not all bad.

In the Pats case, some of it is also self-inflicted wounds. Cameragate and Rodney Harrison's HGH violation, etc.

Mr Amnorix

So do you admit that the use of the camera's was wrong? Staight up with no excuses?

I've experienced that first hand. the people in Boston are actually cooler than the douche bags in New Hampshire. ;)

Pats 31
Jags 20

Mr. Mecca

Although probably not at the level of what New England has accomplished this year, I don't like remember a national hate for the Royals when they were going through their wonder years. Perhaps if they would have won more than 1 World Series, but in the big picture, St. Louis of course showed a strong dislike for getting screwed in game 6 and New York I'm sure had some haters of the Royals, but aside from that I don't think they were looked at in negative terms by a majority of the country. I'm sure the communications boom has the most influence on why it has become more pronounced now.

Even though you all have plenty of trophies already, I would actually like to see a team go undefeated. Sure I wish it was my team that was doing it, but I think it's good to have a really dominant team like NE once in a while. Then when we're old we can all argue over whether or not the 85 Bears or 78 Steelers could have beaten the 07 Pats.

ROFL

Boy, that BEP is very sensitive about silly things. :thumb:

At least she can finally just root for the Pats now that her poor Buccaneers have been jettisoned from the playoffs.

You're very flexible, I wonder if you like twosomes also?

Oh, and don't forget to neg rep me again! :D

uhhh...yeah. That's kind of a no-brainer. We can argue about whether the penalty was reasonable or what the benefit they got out of it was, however.

But yeah, they broke the rule. Doesn't seem to be much doubt about that.

We weren't hated after 1 or even 2 SBs. Try 3 and then some additional AFCC games and going undefeated and then you start to really get the hate heating up... :D

Brady is gonna eat that Cover 2 for breakfast. Jacksonville doesn't have the pass rush to stop this passing attack.

Contrary to what others believe, I think this game is a blowout as long as the weather is decent.

Mr. Amnorix

Mr. Amnorix Admittance of a wrong that occurred that has been debated and defended vehemently by Patriot fans since the occurance to the point of being rediculous makes you o.k. in my book. I'm no longer an instigator against you but respect you and your opinion. Touche.
