It's not like we're going to be drafting 30th next year anyways....so you'll probably have a decent shot again next year at a decent QB if necessary.

Not to be all doom and gloom....but hey...

To be fair, this year's crop of QB's looks like 1983 compared to next year's. If Tebow and Stafford decide not to come out, it will be the worst QB class EVER.

I'm sick of all the 'safe' picks and trade downs and defensive line busts. Why keep doing things the same way as we always have? It obviously doesn't work.

If you always do what you've always done you'll always get what you've always got.

What QB's are available next year?? I am all for sucking for another year if there is another QB in next years draft.. Get stud OL or DL in this draft..

Check my post right before yours.

I am still puzzled why anyone would think that Brian Boehm is going to be anything more than another bust at QB.....think David Klingler, Tim Couch, David Carr, etc.....that's what you will get with Brian Boehm.

Ryan and apparently Flecco, are the only decent QB's in the draft this year. If either of them are available, then the Chiefs should take one of them.

There are a couple of Cowboy fans here where I work who are sure that KC is going to trade down with the Cowboys if McFadden is around at #5. And they are pretty sure KC will settle for Dallas' first pick in the first round and their second round pick. I told them we'd be stupid if we took that trade....I'd go for it if we got both 1st round picks and a 3rounder. But that isn't ever going to happen either.

It won't happen, but I wouldn't settle for anything less than both their firsts, their second, and swapping of the thirds.

not my first choice, but I won't criticize the Chiefs for drafting a QBOTF....

My concern is the guy in your avatar might be just gullible enough to fall for Jones dangling the bait.

Then you should be criticizing a Ryan pick.

I'd take Henne...

Henne started four years at Michigan and was once considered on his way to stardom.

After leading the Wolverines to a perfect record going into their regular-season finale at Ohio State in his junior season, though, things began to crumble.

They lost that game to the rival Buckeyes and then lost the Rose Bowl to Southern California. Coming off those two bitter defeats, Henne's senior season was then plagued by injury and he missed three games.

Those factors caused his stock to fall, but by performing well here in the combine he may have climbed his way back up the list.

Unlike Henne, Flacco was not on television every week and played outside of a BCS conference at Delaware.

He was the tallest quarterback at the combine, coming in at 6-6. That height gives him the ability to see over most pro defensive linemen and find passing lanes.

He obviously did not play against the best competition in college, but his production was outstanding.

He passed for the most yards (4,263) in the Championship Subdivision during his senior season and had 23 touchdowns compared to only five interceptions.

If he can convince teams that he will be able to adjust to the higher level of competition, he might be taken sooner, rather than later, in the draft.

All that being said, Fisher noted on air that "this may be a Tom Brady draft," meaning that the best QB of the bunch may not be unearthed until the later rounds.

For now, though, Henne and Flacco have helped themselves with strong showings.

Henne's an intriguing prospect.
Excellent numbers in college... Though they declined every year.

He holds on to the ball too much.
He throws across his body too much.
He is frequently inaccurate.
Throws picks.

ALL things that he will not get away with in the NFL.
