As bad as the respective lineups are today, the pitchers looked quite good as well.
Both guys were able to command their fastballs and work a pretty wide strikezone. They were both doing a pretty good job with their breaking stuff as well.
When you command your heat and have your breaking stuff going, you've got a quality start in the offing. When you're playing lineups as bad as STL and KC's are...you go 7 with only 1 earned. |
