We might as well just start the pen instead of throw Bannister in there. I bet they could do better than 5.5 or whatever his era is. Cut a couple utility guys, add some more relievers. Pinella thought about doing that in Tampa Bay one time lol

Maybe he should just do the contact hitting up the middle every time instead of swing so hard that his helmet comes off.

Teams will then be forced to adopt the Tony Pena Jr. shift, where the shortstop, second baseman, and center fielder all play directly behind 2B. That way, when TPJ uncorks another lazer that knocks everybody in it's path on their ass, there should still be at least one guy standing who can try to field it.

Will Pena be in the lineup on Tuesday? Was his hit today enough to earn him a start? I bet Hillman says, "Yes."

Not only did TPJ win the game for us, but he won it as our......designated hitter. I never thought I see the words TPJ and designated hitter strung together in the same sentence.

DeezNutz 08-10-2008 05:11 PM

How painful. For the next week the Fever is going to return to speculating about Pena Jr. being the Royals SS of the future. Good grief.

The funny thing was watching TPJ try to call timeout on that last pitch and get denied.

Can't believe I'm still into baseball this much in August but I love it because football season is approaching even faster.Royals win,Cubs win, just a damn good day.
