The offense sucks as well, and last I checked, Gonzalez plays on the offense.

I guess he's absolved from all failures because of who he is?

And you wonder why the locker room may be divided...

Yes, in this case because of who he is, what he brings to the field every game and what he has done for this team, you're down right, ****ing skippy even, that he is "absolved".

Why can this not be he was told one thing by Dick Head Carl and decided that he isn't getting what he signed onto?

I mean take a look at what this offense has done this year from a coaching perspective. McCinstosh is still starting. We had a practice squad guy running the ****ing option. We started Thigpen over Huard. We run the same bs plays for 1 yard over and over.

If he comes to the sidelines shaking his head and asking the coach WTF is going on, I think I will side with him in this case.

But to classify him as a yes man because he's trying to act like a pro and lead by example is exactly the kind of chicken-little, pile-on bullshit that has made this place unbearable lately.

Hey I'm not the one that has been going on that he is a yes man, but he does seem that way a little lately IMO, and yes others are able to have an opinion that differs from yours. But all I was saying is that people were saying he was a yes man, and you turn around and say that everyone on here is burning Waters at the stake.

I agree with you on a variety of topics, but you are blowing this TG thing out to something way more then what it really is.

Hell there was an article yesterday talking about how the teammates know where he is coming from and seem to be happy for TG.

Another thing about team, you keep complaining that he whinnied about not getting the three yards. Have you ever been on a team, that a teammate was going to break something like this? You wouldn't want to see him get it?

Teammates work both ways. I would think you would know that.

As far as distracting and dividing this team............well lets see, the team has gave up at least once this season, TG ****ing up the mojo in the locker room is the least of this teams problems.

I don't care if Jesus Christ himself was the star left fielder on my softball team, if he said he wanted to play somewhere else, I'd tell him to **** off, and don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out.

There is no "I" in team.

You seem to have an guilt issue then or something. You are assuming that it is about you or the players in this case. That's pretty vane on your part.

I may like the guys I work with, but if me and the boss don't get along then something has to change.

Ain't no "we" in team either.

Not necessarily. It could be a knock on ownership and management.

In this case, it almost certainly was.

I've been trying to explaing that to him. Most of the people I have talked with or listened to on the radio calling in all think the same thing, that this is a smack at the coaches not the teammates.

That's the thing, if he's doing that, he's doing it in private.

Publicly, he's saying "**** this, trade me."

And what does Carl have to do with this?

Tony knew who the coach was, and how he operates when he signed that deal. He sure didn't have a problem cashing that check, did he?

You can continue to put the guy on a pedestal if you want. 88 WAS my favorite player. I've lost a lot of respect for him over this. Act like a leader - put the team above yourself. Not the other way around.

Quit comparing work to a locker room. It's not even close to the same thing.

I think it's like the private whose lieutenant says, "Okay son, you run down that street and let the terrorist in that tall building shoot at you so we can get a bead on his location. I'm going to have a donut." So, the private takes one in the ass only to find out the lieutenant forgot to watch.

Even the most patriotic of guys are only going to do that once or twice before they say "Screw this. You try it." and head for Canada.

Great source, talk-show callers.

I wonder how most of the people who call in manage to form a sentence, much less hold an opinion I should value.

That's very true, Mr. OnTheWarpath58. But, you also have to remember, there's no "We" in "Completely fucked up and stupid."

If you've lost respect for him on this you are truly a dickhead fan. That guy has given more of himself to this team and for what? FOR WHAT? Is he a Randy Moss? Does he take off plays? Is he in front of the camera like TO, causing drama all the time? Is he an obnoxious asshole like Chad Johnson?

**** NO! Tony has always put this team ahead of him. Frankly you're being a dick, if you truly liked him before as you claim. Everyone has their moments and this is the only one he has ever had. Then again you would have to actually ****ing appreciate what he has done for us for the last 10+ years, game in and game out, to have the view I do I guess.

What ****ing source do you have? And personally I don't think they were otu to persuade you 1 iota. You seem to have this opinions you are above everyone and everyone gives a shit what you think?

Maybe I was raised differently.

I was taught that no matter what, you don't turn your back on your teammates. You win as a team, you lose as a team.

Sometimes management isn't on the team.

Has he given any more than Brian Waters?

I don't see Brian running to Carl's office asking for a trade just because things aren't going well right now.
