It's being reported here locally that the city is shutting down all the gas stations at 2:30. (Or should Bob Dole say, shut them down at 2:30). Bob Dole doesn't know if this is factual.

Whoever is behind this, they accomplished what they wanted. They've thrown the entire country into a state of panic.

This is a terrorist act a multitude of times more complex and expensive than anything done before, than anything even *attempted* before. While I believe that Bin Laden did play a part, what I'm really wondering is which nation(s) backed it. Calling it an "act of war" might not be that far...

MSNBC just announced the President's current location...again.

Can someone either make these idiots stop announcing the location of important government officials, or ship all the media off to Afghanistan so we always know where bin Laden is hanging out?

I haven't seen any of that footage, nor do I want to. I think it might just push me over the edge. I'm SOOOOOO enraged currently!!! I feel helpless and powerless - I don't like those feelings! Knowing that any large metropolis is a likely target in the near future is horrible. For selfish safety reasons, I wish I still lived in rural Iowa.
